My brother met a black Christian (cant remember where he is from). They were talking about Christianity and he said Jesus is not the son of god. I was suprised by this statement. He said most Christians do not practise their religion. They dont know what they are talking about. Do you know the name of this group and where i can get more info abt them? Please no answers like he aint a Christian coz he rejected christ as son of god and he is going to hell or copy and pastes where it says he is son of god. If i want to know who is or isnt a Christian, i would ask. If you can help, thanks. Still, watch all the negative answers.

Excuse me. I have met a jehova's witness and he claimed that jesus was son of god. Maybe not all jehova's witness claim this but the ones me and my family have met claim that he was son of god. The black man did belive in 1 god. For the last time, he wasnt a muslim.

I dont know why so many people are saying jehova's witnesses reject Jesus as the son of god because they dont. No Christian is going to help you with what you need. I heard about people like that man iwas curious too. If you find out, let me know.

Hi, this person was no doubt a Jehovah witness, this cult believes that it is the restoration of first century Christianity, but in fact they reject the basic tenets of mainstream Christianity.
they do not accept the dogma of the Holy Trinity for example nor do they accept that Jesus was God or the second person of the Trinity, but relegate Him to the status of a Prophet,in much the same way as Muslims.
because they reject Christ as God, they really cannot claim to be fully Christian as as such are actually a heretical sect.

Are you sure he is not Muslim? They believe in God, and have respect for Jesus Christ, but they do not believe in the divinity of Jesus -- they believe he was just a prophet.
This is not negative, but "Christian" are followers of Jesus Christ. If he says that Jesus was not the Son of God, then he isn't a follower of Jesus Christ, and is not a Christian.
That's why I asked if he was Muslim.

YOU DON'T READ ANYTHING DO YOU?
Can you give us more information about what he said?
He said: " Jesus is not the son of god"
Does he believe in the Son?or does he only believe in God?
In what context did he say this? Did he mean that Jesus is not the son but someone else is or was?

It is my understanding that Jehovah's Witnesses believe that Christ is not the son of God. However, it is rare to see a black person among their members. At one time, not very long ago, they didn't allow them. They were of the opinon that blacks were beneath them and unable to become elevated to become JW.
There are many varied opinons and "beliefs" out there in the world. Sometimes we are getting only a glimpse of what one denomination proclaims. But for any denomination to refuse to accept Christ as the only begotton son of God is wasting their time according to the bible.

I don't believe it is possible to not believe in Christ as the son of God and still call yourself a Christian. Otherwise, I have heard of a group call "Jews for Jesus", but I'm not sure that what their belief system is.

He was probably a Jehovah's Witness. They believe the Archangel Michael was the "pre-incarnate" Jesus Christ, not the Son of God.
This is, of course, blasphemy.

It could be Jehovah's Witness. They claim be a Christian group but they deny Jesus. I believe they recently started accepting blacks.

I don't think anyone of us really knows who is a Christian and who isn't. Remember at the last supper Jesus said that one of you will betray me and all the other disciples asked if it was them? No one had a clue it was Judas. Only Jesus knew.
You see, it really doesn't matter what we say that we're Christians. It is what Jesus has to say about us.
Remember, Jesus will say on that day "Many will say to me on that day 'Lord, lord. Haven't we done many wondrous works in your name and cast out demons in your name.' And I will say to them 'Depart from me I never knew you. You who work iniquity.'
Only Christ knows who is his and who is not.
