It is common knowledge in my family that I was the scapegoat for absolutly everything! They even joke about it. I am the second child and rather different from my sisters. My elder sister is what you would call the "perfect" child. She was an angel and I loved her to death! My little sister was smart, athletic and absolutly beautiful. I sort of turned out like the black sheep...I was an out going, rather accident prone, stubborn child. I wasn't bad, but I was different. So, my sisters were a lot more spoiled than me. My little sister in particular...I was always blamed for her misdeeds...it made me mad at the time, but now we joke about it. I do think in general, the older will be more spoiled, but it was a for sure in our case :)

Parents tend to be blind to their kids being spoiled (not all!!), but my daughter-in-law is the perfect example!! Her first born is spoiled ROTTEN!! Her parents are divorced and try to out-buy the kids at birthdays/christmas/etc, so if she even mentions a toy, it is there. The other kids are told to choose one. She absolutely DENIES the fact that she is spoiled.

They can each be used as beyond hectic or beyond/passive participle. Spoilt is normal of UK that's why so much humans from US could even say there is not this kind of phrase. If in US - opt for spoiled, if in UK - spoilt is flawlessly right. :)
