I've got a video clip from which I'd like to make a small animated image for use on websites.
Any one suggest any software for the job?
Preferably free, or at least a free trial.

Movavi ConvertMovie. I use it to convert .mov from dig. camera to .avi. Not free but only about £20. Seems grand so far.

PS. Not sure about the .gif (still pic?)part. You may have to convert to .wmv (same prog) then use that to get a still shot.
