Are we to assume that you are brave to cast insult in God's face calling yourself "Black Atheist.? Good for you. We all will see what happens when you stand before God.

I am a Christian and I agree, to a point. Let me explain. I do not stand by my faith out of fear. I strongly believe that despite what we are taught as Christians, what really matters is that we use our OWN common sense, knowledge of right versus wrong, etc in our every day lives. Common sense tells us that we should try to do things that are right all the time. You do NOT have to be a Christian to do that. You do not even have to believe in God. So being a Christian or catholic or what ever, is not what matters at all. What matters is that you make the right choices in life and you try to be as good a person as you can because it is the right thing to do. IF there is a God and IF there is some reward to be gained for your efforts, or even if there isn't, that is NOT the point anyway. Christian is NOT synonomous with PERFECT PERSON or GODLIKE or anything like that. Titles or Faith lables do not matter. What matters is the individual and that persons choices in life. I am willing to bet that if every person on the planet read the book of Proverbs from the Bible, they would finish it, close the book and say"DUH!". It contains life instructions, decision guidelines and information we figure out every day on out own. Surrender myself to a possible myth? Depends on the person. The difference is between living acording to belief in a person or entity as the sole goal or living according to what we understand as the difference between right and wrong. The latter is what it is truely about, not the former. The simple truth is that it does not matter what anyone believes, we will all learn the facts and truth eventually. As long as we make a point of being GOOD PEOPLE and making good choices in life, that is all that really matters. Everything else will happen as it will.

If anyone believes in their own intellect, Christian or not...they are a fool. How can anyone trust in only what they know. No one is perfect and has the knowledge, experience and capabilities to survive in the world today. And if you say they can, well I must agree. But there must be something better then living on the streets or in misery like these people. Believing in God, or anyone/anything other than self is what a lot of people use to make their lives complete and fulfilled. To not feel alone. I personally am a Christian, and my beliefs and lifestyle is driven by my faith in something bigger than myself. NOT out of fear, but greatfulness and knowing that I tried to live by myself and without any rules, governed by myself...but i wasn't fulfilled or had direction or a content life until now. You're own statement shows your lack of knowledge in the matter by stating Christian logic. Christians, and those who follow other paths, don't do it out of logic (you must have been watching too much star trek) logic is what simple man has come up with to try to explain that which he can't, or make him believe he has the answers.

I did not become a Christian out of fear. My conversion was a search that was answered, by grace, through faith. I don't just think God exists - I know it without a doubt. He has proven it to me. My search began with the 22nd Psalm - a exact description of the crucifixion of Jesus - written before crucifixion was invented and before Jesus was born. I studied. I asked the hard questions. When I accepted the free gift of salvation through Jesus' death and resurrection, I was transformed. I have been changed.

Intellect is as much involved in my faith as emotion is. Intellect tells me there is a God: nature shows His beauty, order and detail. The fact that His Word is still around and alive to so many people after over 3000 years makes me think. The fact that we all know about one man, Jesus, and every detail of His life makes me think. The fact that we talk about Him all the time and get such emotional reactions to Him makes me think.
The fact that you feel compelled to ask about Him should make you think.

I'm not worried, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I am going to Heaven. I 105% agree with 'AM', I mean, I have a whole book, that clearly states that if I believe that Christ died for my sins and live the way the Bible says, I will go to Heaven, for my grandma is there, and I wanna live for eternity with her there. Believe what you will, its a free right, but I believe this and I know I will go to Heaven! God Bless!

Push your website somewhere else.
I hate it when Atheists think just because they don't believe in God, they are automatically smart, logical scientists. Doesn't happen that way, sorry.
If you believed in your own intellect, you wouldn't care about the religious choice of strangers.

Charlie, it appears you are a bit lost, afraid and searching. Christian, now days, are replendent in repeating that which they have had repeatedly drummed into their head. You see Charlie, we have several different types of Christians today. We have the RELIGIOUS Devotees. These are people who are devoted to the religion in which they participate. They also have the tendency to judge people based on the teachings of their religion. Additionally they are vested, tithed, to their religion. Far to many religions have been built on the bottom line, the almighty dollar and many religious leaders see the power in that dollar lining their pockets. These people also fear God as they see God as the punishing parent. They realize they are sinners and accept their sins which they expect to be washed away each week by the attending worship services. There are the disassociative Christians. These are the people who, although they believe in God do not believe they have to pray or participate in church all the time. They also recognise themselves as sinners and expect to be forgiven of their sins because they believe in God. Then there are the Christians of the spirit. These people do not believe that the church is necessary except as a place to come together as fellow spirits. They also understand that they are sinners, after all if we werent sinners then Jesus died without a cause, but they strive to live their lives as God commands them to live. They attempt not to make the same mistakes over and over and to help others in their times of trial and need. You see God helps those who helps themselves, he only expects that you recognise his existence and therefore you understand that he is there for you. I once took and course of study where we were told of the three faiths. Faith in god, faith in yourself and faith in your fellow man. Now you need not recognize them in that order, only that you have them.
Charlie, I am sure many people who are also lost will reach out to your website. Understand, the mind of mankind is a frail thing, it can be manipulated and turned. The spirit of God within them is their streignth, and because we ,in spirit, are all one with God our spirit will not be broken.
It has been said that Satans greatest triumph is in the belief he does not exist. When you do not believe in his realm, given to him by God, then you do not believe in him, cast out of heaven by God who so loved him. Then you also would not physically believe in God, who so loves you. When you believe only in your own intellect, then you believe only in yourself. What loneliness you must have in your life.
If you are truly intellectual, consider the three faiths. Do the math and discover, you are not alone, only lonely.
Good luck Charlie, I will include you in my prayers.

No....because every true believer knows that God would not accept that as being "Born Again",just to save your@ss.
Paul says "It is by faith that you are saved ,by grace and not of works,it is the gift of God least any man try to boast".
You have to have faith in the whole package not just the "Get out of jail free"card...ain't happening.
