Saturday I was in the hospital for dehidration because I was throwing everything up! I have a UTI which I dont know how I got b/c Im so careful about what I drink. Now Im afraid my virus is turning into pneumonia. Have any of you had pneumonia? What were your symptoms? How was the baby? Did you have to stay in the hospital? How long? I can't say as I have ever had pneumonia while preganant but I have had bronchitis. You really need to see your primary care doctor to check out your lungs. That would be the only real way to know if it is pneumonia. Did you know that pregnant women are more prone to UTIs? It wasn't neccessarily anything that you did or didn't do. Your baby, however, should be just fine as long as you are not running a high fever that you can't get rid of. The baby doesn't share your bloodstream and generally is very protected inside its placenta. Any sickness while you are preganant is scary and I always tended to feel worse than when I wasn't preganant. See your doc!

Don't panic. The frame is strong and will preserve the child. It is honestly particularly traditional for ladies to free a few weight while they're in early being pregnant as a result of the nausea and so on. and the tiny child is so small it's taking little or no nourishment on the minute. The rationale girl are told to avert getting colds / flu/ meals poisoning is that it takes longer to get better and feels plenty worse than it might if no longer pregnant. Basically the recommendation is to support your buddy to hold hydrated and support her get good, attempting to not upload to her pressure making her suppose that she has broken her child by way of being in poor health; if some thing the pressure would probably do the harm. She can take paracetamol, ensure she does but additionally ensure she does no longer overdose by way of taking 2 or 3 merchandise with paracetamol. Paracetamol will scale down fever as good as stupid the affliction. Let her get as a lot sleep as feasible, i.e. do not be going to examine on her at all times or phoning her at all times; allow her recognise that you're only a mobile name away and both allow her let you know while you'll be able to name her or simply allow her mobile if she demands you.

I had pneumonia but not while pregnant. I ran a fever, cold clammy skin, chest pain, difficulty breathing, absolutely no energy, no appetite, coughing up chunks of yellow and green crap, coughing alot, esp at night. They cannot do a lung x-ray but they can treat you with antibiotics and a cough suppressant. You baby will be fine but you need to get medical treatment. No they will not keep you in the hospital unless you wait and it gets worse, so go to the Doctor now.

I never had pneumonia, but I had bronchitis with one baby and strep throat with another. I took my antibiotics and every thing was fine with me and the babies.
