Why? Jesus told us this would happen. He said, "Is the clay more important than the potter? They hate me and they will hate you too."
Just keep on doing what our Lord told us to do, and don't worry about other people's opinions. God is who YOU care about.

I have yet to meet a Christian trying to tell me about Jesus who will earnestly listen to someone else's believes. If someone tried to share their views with you you wouldn't listen with an open mind because you got a big lump of Jesus stuck in your ears.
Are you that insecure about your believes that you have to justify them by trying to make everyone else believe too? I always that was the meaning of "he that lives by the sword dies by the sword." A person that sustain their belief by preaching will eventually meet a better preacher who convinces them of a different way.
Also, ever notice how creepy born agains are? Boring, no fun and preachy--not to mention often homophobic, anti-other religions, often misogynistic...Jesus would not be happy with what you are doing in his name.
As for your quote: "repent" just means to repent from live--ie. to die. Once you die you are bron again into the Kingdom of Heaven. The Bible has no specified ceremony for rebirth within one lifetime. Your quote is actually arguably supporting a Christian belief in reincarnation--not at all the way it has been (mis)interpreted. Remember that the bible was translated (poorly) for Greek and Hebrews which are much more extensive languages than English. The English was actually translated not from the original but from a translation in Latin or Modern Greek.
Its like reading Shakespeare kind of--the words had different meaning tehn and are used in a poetic sense.

David Israel,
You are a Christian. I do know that you seem to have some psychological disorders and therefore may not be capable of hearing dissent. Nonetheless, I must tell you david that I think this evil and deceptive form of missionizing you are perpetrating is degrading Christianity and the good, normal christians who practice it.

. It is, by definition, impossible for it to be "jewish" to believe in jesus. "Jewish" is, by defintion, what jews have historically and contemporarily believe. Since in neither scenario do we find "believing in jesus", then we must clearly realize that belief in jesus is not something "jewish". You can call it "biblical" (and still be wrong), but certainly not "jewish".
. On the side, the subject of Isaiah 53 is promised a "long life" and "seed" (i.e. physical children). Clearly this isn't about jesus.
. And Isaiah 7 is clearly not messianic if you read the whole chapter. and "alma" doesn't mean virgin either. You'd know that if you spoke hebrew (I guess learning basic hebrew wasn't part of your "extensive jewish upbringing", huh?)
. On the side, Isaiah 9 can't be about jesus since, according to christianity, he's the "son" not the "father" (as the verse states). Nor did he have control of the government (to the contrary, the roman government killed him). And he certainly did not establish "endless peace".

oh, and lastly, I've decided that you truly epitomize everything I find intensely intellectually unsatisfying about christianity.

No, you're actually not overreacting. you're in a concern it is pagan to declare the least, attempting to persist with Jesus. forget approximately that the main Christians are doing. maximum Christians are actually not something of the type. i'm sorry you'll be able to desire to be in this occasion. Your dad and mom could be conserving you. yet you'll be able to desire to alter right into a guy at last. And biblically that began at age 13. in view which you probably did not get born-lower back (started in this direction) till age 14, i'm specific God provides grace in between. yet he will require you ultimately to stand up and alter into concern unfastened. a loss of outrage on no account will ward off others from persecuting you. in actuality, you're actually spoke of as to a existence if occasional (a minimum of) persecution for status up on your faith (and Christ). Get used to it.

Please look up the meaning of the word "persecution" in the dictionary before equating getting some questions deleted on Yahoo 360 to it. Guess what, people don't want to be preached at. It's annoying and probably counter-productive if you are trying to win converts.

There are many roads to spirituality. Don't be such a fool as to believe everyone needs to follow the path you believe to be true and that works for you. Maybe what you calll "persecution" is just an understandably strong reaction of criticism to your unsolicited advice.

you are not persecuted; you are facing the defense mechanisms of those who are.
We've already heard those who "ask others to Let Jesus into their heart to be born again." We don't buy it. And they refuse to respect our decisions, or respect that there are other paths.
If you keep on obnoxiously asking; you only do further damage to the reputations of the decent, respectful Christians that do exist.

It's called the Bible-Thumping instinct.
Let's face it: 25% of the American public doesn't believe in God. Another 25% believes God is angry and punishes us all the time. 25% believes God is generally good and will give them abundance regardless of what they do. And the last 25% is the only one that sees God as a happy God but with whom they have to be in good relations.
The concept of God isn't completely accepted by many, and with good reasons.
But it's a matter of beliefs.
Let me just give you an analogy to live for. It's the same thing with sexual harrassment at work. If you harrass someone and they complain, just don't do it again. Otherwise, you WILL get fired.
Invite people towards God, but if they shrug at the idea, leave them alone.
Maybe try a year later, you know? Just to try. But don't push it.
Persistence is key.

Because the name of Jesus is powerful and invokes a strong reaction in all people. The reaction is either love, curiosity, puzzlement, uneasiness, alarm, hatred. You name it, but everyone has a reaction!
Persecution is fear-based. Fear easily turns to hatred and you know where that leads...

it makes people angry that you all assume your religion is correct and try to push that on others. you are not being persecuted....you are being harassed for harassing others. there are no Christians in America being persecuted....you wanna talk persecuted go to the middle east there your butt will be persecuted. here in America people just slam doors in your faces or get annoyed with your behavior. i for one am sick of this pushing your view on others. some one in school handed me a flier on the Divinch code i ask is this a Jesus or religious thing the girl goes no... i get 10 feet away flip it over and its says church of Christ on it it....right its not religious?! Christians back handed try to pass out their literature to unsuspecting, unwilling people. your advances are not wanted. your bible may say you are suppose to but the rest of us are telling you we are offended by your assumption that your god is the only god...

Paul says" the Carnal mind is at Emnity with God".
I wouldn't call that "Persecution".Hebrews 12 says "You have not yet been persecuted unto blood" Now that's persecution.
