Creatine helps your muscles stay hydrated. You can have a more effective workout which helps you to build muscle. You will retain water weight. drink plenty of water with it. Make sure you get plenty of protein (at least 20-30 grams) after your workout.

If you are working out then you should gain muscle but if you stop working out then you will gain weight really fast.

Initially, it will be water weight. Eventually, it will become muscle weight. It should not make you fat.

Drink LOTS of water when you take it! If not, it will dehydrate you and will be rough on your kidneys.
