i would suggest going through spiritualist churches , you can actually watch the mediums demonstrate at the services ... you may even get a reading then and there
but if you wish to do so you can book a private sitting with them if you feel they are genuine enough to bring through your loved ones
yes there are many fakes sadly .. who give the rest a bad name
this link can help you find your nearest church .. just click on your area

if you even just wish to talk , then feel free to get in touch
much love to you xxx

.If the person who you were close to came through a medium would that give you the incentive to move on and heal? It's not just the living that need time to heal but the ones that have passed on to spirit also. I lost both my parents last year totally unexpected. I had never considered going to a medium or spiritualist church before they died. I did it because I wanted to know that they were both together. I spent time and money seeking a messages from them and it never happened. I got messages from other people that I didn't know but nothing from my parents. In the end I was making myself ill. This went on for months. One day my friend had a medium go to her house to conduct readings for a group of friends and I decided not to go as I couldn't face another disappointment. My dad came through to the medium whilst he was speaking to my friend. This medium told my friend things that only I would know. He mentioned the colour of my front door (I don't have a standard colour front door or design) that he visited my flat on regular occasions. My new tattoo that my dad said that he didn't like, my husband, my sisters and the smiling baby (my sister gave birth a couple of weeks after they died). My dad also said that he saw my mum every day. My mum didn't come through and never has. If I had been there for this reading I know I would of continued seeking messages and I wasn't going to get them. You have to let go at some point. The loved ones in spirit know that if they contact through gifted mediums all the time then you are never going to heal and nor will they. Some people reading this answer will probably dismiss it as they have other beliefs but I strongly believe that they never leave us, they watch over us and comfort us in our times of need even if we can't feel or see them. Try the spiritualist churches first in the Devon area. You will be able to see who the gifted one are. They are the ones that get a lot of yes's. If the medium is trying to convince somebody that the readings for them then they are the ungifted. Once you have seen a variety for a £1 donation then approach the medium to ask if they do private readings

hi there,
i have read all the answers so far to your question, and i was skeptical and curious to speak to someone i lost, i have seen many people over the yrs and most are fakes, but the odd one did tell me information and stuff only i could know or i had to ask my parents as i didnt know. but i do believe they can contact us as i had a strange women who i never knew was a medium spk to me at my cousins house and she told me that an old lady called miriam was with me and wants to give me a message, the message was to stop reading the tarot cards as i was inviting bad entities into my life. this did spook me back then a little as this women never knew i was dabbling with tarot cards, i had been reading them for a while, and life wasnt so good at the time. so i took it on board what she had said and stopped reading them.
but i still didnt have a clue who this miriam lady was as i didnt know of any in the family or that i had been told, then the other day i had a relative that i didnt know i had email me from genes reunited and she sent me a picture of my great grandmother on my dads side her name is miriam!!! so i do believe we can make contact but only when they choose to make contact with us. i agree you should go to a spirit church and if they want to make contact they will, but always follow your gut instinct thats your guardian to help you through life.always trust it xxxxx kind regards

Type John Edward (not Edwards) in your Search box. I saw him in person. The energy level was high before he began, but jumped into the stratosphere when he started to communicate with the "other side".

Also type Love Never Dies. This is a site by a woman named Sandy Goodman, whose son died, then after her fervent prayers, began to communicate with her.

The only people I could recommend are spiritualists (theres probably meetings on at a local church - check the local papers). I have mostly found so called mediums to be completely phoney and only out to take your money.

You don't need a psychic.Everybody is psychic in one way or another, simply be open to the spirit of your loved one and they will speak.

Let go and move on. Stop living in the past. You are going to get more hurt and pain this way. I am psychic enough to know this.

Sorry, but when you're dead, you're dead. I'm sorry about your loss, but spirit mediums are bunk.

The only way your loved one lives on is in your memories. Keep the good ones.
