I get pictures from god.

He sent me a jpeg of a Britney nip-slip last week.

Interesting question and even more interesting answers.

What I can't understand is why all these people who are 100% sure that they get messages/pictures/visions from God have not gone public. Surely, if their beliefs were true and they strongly believed that they were from the Lord God Almighty himself then they would face the public persecution that they would receive. Would it not be a sin to deny the Lord? Commandment 3 You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God. You are all claiming that God himself shows you visions. You are all claiming that you are special enough for this but you keep it under wraps. I'm sure if he did exist then he would be sitting on his cloud with his white dress, sandals and long grey hair laughing his socks off.

I'm sorry but I do not believe that anyone has been spoken to or shown visions from God. It's called religious hysteria and they are fooling themselves.

Not visions as such (although a friend of mine gets worried if he has not had one for 3 months). I get what are called "wisdom pictures." Sometimes it is a single image, other times it is like observing an event. These have to be interpreted, sometimes by me or people I discuss them with. Other people use their gift of Discernment of Spirits to determine whether the image is God given or just imagination. Sometimes it coincides with a prophetic word, image or impression someone else has, which increases the likelihood that it is from God.

Funny - I asked a similar question last week, like "has anyone HEARD God" - but I also went on to ask what he sounded like. For instance, did he have an accent, did he have a booming voice, etc. I thought it was a valid question because so many people profess to having conversations and relationships with God, so I just wanted to know what he sounded like. Suddenly no-one knew what his voice was like. I would have been interested to see how many of the "yes" answers you've got above would have answered if you'd also asked "what does He look like" as part of your question. I suspect that the answers would've turned to quoting Bible verses, or saying, "if you don't know the answer to that, you obviously need to get to know God better..."

I don't know if they're from God or not. Ever since I was little I've gotten what seem like memories of things that haven't happened yet. Calling them memories is the best way I've ever been able to think of to describe them, since they'd be in my head the way a memory would be. They would be about important personal and world events that hadn't yet occured.

I became a christian when i was 15. I was on a scripture union camp and the camp leaders were praying with me to help me give myself to god. As soon as i did i felt a huge weight lift off me and an awesome warmth filled my heart. I don't just mean in a metaphorical sense, i actually physically felt it.
Sounds silly, i know... i felt truely loved.

I once saw God's face in the sky when I was lying on a rooftop at night.
"God" (what a lousy word--not what I call it) often sends us pictures and visions. They are called dreams, meditations, realizations, coincidences, etc.
Jack Kerouac wrote a ridiculous amount of books about Catholicesque visionaries--check them out.

The people who recieve such visions from god are to be found in your local mental hospital or evangelical church. Not much difference between the two in my experience.
