The basic rate of tax for salary below £32500 is 22%

So 22% of £21000 = £4620

so per year AFTER tax is £21000 - £4620 = £16380

Then divide by 12 to get your monthly take home = £1365

Assuming nothing else is coming out like National Insurance, Pensions, etc

Do not spent it all at once!

income per year = 60k Less allowance (everyone gets it) = (estimate) 5225 Gives taxable income of 54775 Lower band 2310 @ 10% £231 Basic rate 34370 @ 22% £7,561.40 Higher rate 18095 @ 40% £7,238 Total paid in tax = £15030.40 So you get £44969.60 a year after tax = apporx £3750 a month

if u divide by twelve and then deduct 25% that is what you will be taking home each month
