I have not used them but all i can tell you is to avoid animal produts and avoid mineral oils.. these will not get absorbed by our skin and will clog pores ....the 2nd worse thing we could do to our skin is use of mineral oil... 10% of the fine lines and wrinkles is due to this ingredient.... it is like rubbing car oil on our skin and exposing to the sun... anyway, i use a botanically based skin care line called arbonne and they are really amazing and the results are incredible .. not talking temporarily but long lqasting results.... check them out and analyze the benefits ..visit their web site and ask them for more info ..and maybe some samples... i know i did and i fell in love with their products.....

I've been using CD's products since 1989! I grew up in Brooklyn and was able to just walk to CD's store. Back then, she had way more of a selection and I miss the old stuff. Basically, if you have dry skin Carol's daughter has awesome body moisturizers with great scents!
As for her price, for a long time her prices were the same and then she had to increase her prices. The products will last a long time so you won't be disappointed. Un caveat: On the labels of many of her products, they do suggest that you use the products within 6 months so be aware of that.

I just picked up some Carol's Daughter (CD) products this weekend for skin and hair care, to replenish some items I received as gifts. I really like the way they make my skin feel and smell - plus, I like that the products do not have petroleum-based products
I found the body butters and souffles to absorb into my skin very well, and not leave a tacky feeling to my skin. My favorites are the Original Mango Body Butter, and the Almond Cookie Body Butter. I also highly recommend the Lip Butter, it is excellent!
If anything, sample the products at CD stores in Harlem or Brooklyn, some local retailers carry the products and some Sephora stores carry them as well (check their websites for location information). Otherwise, you can order products online from CD or Sephora.
Enjoy!

I haven't used too many of their skincare products, but I love their haircare products. They have gotten a little pricey since I have become aware of the Carol Daughter's line, but I've been using their line since 2002 and I have been very pleased.
I really like their ingredients and the smell and texture of their products. Natural is good.

Yes, I have used a few of the ocean-themed products. Personally, I loved them but would probably not pay full price. Look for them on Ebay and you'll probably save quite a bit.
