He has a microwave in his dorm and a mini kitchen down the hall. Right now he's surviving on ramen noodles and college food. I want to give him something that he would be able to eat out of the package or cook easily but something that's not too unhealthy. Does anyone have any suggestions?

All depending on his food likes/dislikes: Microwave popcorn, trail mix, those little packages of single serving tuna/mayo/crackers, beef jerky, cans of nuts, peanut butter, protein bars, granola bars, microwave Chunky soup, cans of fruit (don't forget to add a can opener), rice cakes, microwave mac 'n cheese. You can get single serve microwave Hamburger Helper now too.

A can of cream of mushroom soup, some boxed mini Penne Barilla pasta and a can of Kraft shredded Parmesan cheese.
Tell him to:
boil pasta,
Heat the soup with only 1/3 of the milk that's directed on the package so it's more a suace than soup.
He can add store bought rotisserie chicken on the side
Sprinkle with cheese.
Healthy, VERY impressive and what guy won't love a hearty and easy meal like that.

Quaker makes oatmeal cups. You just need to add boiling water.

Annie's Homegrown makes organic pasta (like spaghetti Os's) and they taste good. They make other quick dinners that don't require a lot of cooking or utensils. They can also ship baskets for you. I listed the web address, in case you want to check it out!

Kashi makes 7 grain crackers that are really good. My personal favorite!

For fresh fruit and veggies, you could send him a gift card for the nearest grocery store. Then he could buy what he needs, even if it's just an apple or a few bananas. It would save you on postage to go about it that way, if shipping costs are a concern.
