Add a cup of whole corn (frozen or canned) to one of your dog's bowls of food. You will definitely know whose poop is whose!

Okay. I agree with what has been said so far about watching the dogs, leash walking, etc but if you really need to change the color, here's an idea.
Have you ever given your dog those white "dental bones"? They are dog treats that are supposed to clean your dog's teeth as they chew on them. They are fully digestible.
I got some Dingo Denta-Treats White Brites and my dog's stool was dramatically lighter after eating them. I think he needs to eat at least 2 for a big difference. I know I can tell when I walk him if anyone else has given him a couple.
Try a new treat like that. It should change the color enough to be noticeable and it won't hurt your dog. The hard part will be picking one dog to give the treat to and making sure they both don't get them. You may need to do it for a few days---I would try the experiment for at least a week so you can be really sure "who is doing what where". LOL
Don't use food coloring---it would be too dark to see and could upset the dog's stomach.
Good luck!

I don't know if food coloring would change the color of the poop. It would actually have to survive the whole digestion process which would probably breakdown the coloring anyway.
The only way to see whose is whose is by watching them I would think.

Leave them alone and just watch where they poop and pick it up! Don't risk your dogs lhealth because of your laziness to keep an eye on them...Keep them on a healthy diet (food coloring is not for dogs!!! It's not even good for people, by the way), NO FOOD COLORING! What the hck is wrong with you?

I must say I am perplexed about the "playing one against the other" part, but since that is not what you asked about...
I believe you can use a couple of drops of plain old food color on the food, but it's best to ask your vet about this.

It's much easier to stay outsde with them and watch them poop so you know for sure which pile belongs to which dog.

You can't just watch them out the window or some place where they can't see you?
