The smurfs believe in the Devil, not joking - they where those little white "jacobian hats", originating from the french revolution, this is a masonry symbol, hence why i say smurfs worship the devil.

I am more interested in the belief system so it is not the bible per se, it is the blind faith that it encourages.
Blind faith to me is ridiculous there has to be room for compromise or nothing would move further. We once thought the sun and planets revolved around the earth - until some free thinker proved otherwise; They said we would never step foot on the moon, but we have, so who is to say what is right and what is wrong? What is wrong today may be corrected tomorrow, that's how life should work. Equally who is to say that the Christians are right and their god is right, especially when the so called son of god is Jewish, surely those that follow Judaism have claim to the true god. If it is the same person, why the two opposing beliefs? It is all down to the interpretation and translation. I have faith in my own ability and moral values to know I am essentially a good person, I don't need to bow down to anyone, nor do I need validation or acceptance from a percieved higher being.
The smurfs, by the way, don't have a belief system, they just do what papa smurf tellsd them to do.

Obviously there are some lessons in that book that you've glossed over. Your attempt at mockery smacks of the type of behavior that was severely punished by God.
But to your so-called "question":
Some of us "smurfs" believe in the possibility of knowledge and wisdom through intellectual effort. That is hardly the province of dogmatists. As far as the bible is concerned, we see it as yet another in a long line of texts of myth. The reason it gets more attention than it deserves on this forum is because it's the only authority un-smurfs like you can muster in defense of your many interpretations of it.
And by the way, one supposes that it's YOUR particular interpretation that has "stood its ground" - not the interpretation of "those others" in that "other" church across from yours who disagree with you. It must be wonderful to "KNOW," and with no effort whatsoever.

Why bother to couch your insults in questions that don't interest you? As for the Bible having stood the test of time, considering the church made it a crime for the laity to have access to it until the 16th century, and considering that you'd be murdered for questioning it until about a 150 years ago, and jailed for questioning it in most places until the last 100 years, I would say it hasn't been tested all that much. You wouldn't know any of that of course, what with Christians being the most ignorant of all about a book they are so certain is god-breathed. But now that we can actually critique your bronze age superstition without being killed for it, I would say it doesn't hold up very well, either as a scientific hypothesis for cosmology, as history (your gospel writers can't get their geneologies, dates and rulers straight, or even how Judas killed himself), or as theology, having borrowed everything from Roman and Greek mystery cults. You wouldn't know about that either since studying such things is "of the devil."
But I'm glad you just love the Bible. I just love Superman comics. They're more believable, after all, and Superman doesn't require blood sacrifices before he saves people.

Hey how about sticking with one question and not bombarding us with basically the same question more than once per ten minutes?
Yes the Bible is interesting, but only as a source of mythology, much like how Greek and Norse mythology are interesting. The fact that the religion's been around for ages it means nothing except maybe that alot of people have trouble letting go.
Smurfs believe your can go smurf yourself.

The bible does not interest me at all. I am interested on how people of different religions and beliefs or lack of can be so hateful and call names. I do not believe in smurfs. I have enough intelligence to know the difference in make believe and reality.

The Bible is listened to by many faiths. The Jews have the Tanakh, the original Bible, the Muslims accept the Bible and that the Qur'an expanded the religion. I know Atheists who use it as a historical analogy. I think you need to study a little more.
Smurfs--so cute and good, they do not need it.

I'm only interested in the bible because it's an arcane book that some people still thinks should be the basis of our laws. It's no different than the Iliad or Beowulf to me, yet some people actually believe the myths and stories within it are real. It baffles me, really.
I call myself an Agnostic. I'm not a Smurf, I don't know what they believe in.

I'll ask this again: YOU have probably asked hundreds of questions about evolution. Does that mean that you're thinking about accepting evolution as fact?
And no, I'm not really interested in the Bible. I think a lot of the other lesser known holy books out there are much better reads.
