It is most likely an abscess he got from being cut or scratched. Cats get abscesses easily. They don't always show signs of being sick until they are REALLY sick.

Take the kitten to the vet. He'll probably be started on antibiotics.

This happened to my cat on his leg. Chances are its a cyst. His went away after a few weeks with no medical treatment! Hope the kitty gets better

definately take the little man to the vets - poor soldier!! like the others say - probably an abcess or a cyst - either way - it won't be comfortable for him
