First in Texas
A suburb of Dallas could soon be the first city in Texas to adopt an ordinance to keep illegal immigrants out. The city council in Farmers Branch will consider the proposal Monday. It includes banning landlords from leasing to illegal immigrants, penalizing businesses that employ undocumented workers, and making English the city's official language. Other towns across the country have adopted similar ordinances, including more than a dozen in Pennsylvania and some in California.

Basic disconnect ??
A small suburb community in Texas is considering adopting an ordinance that will enable the town to join in on the fight against illigal immigration. It would punish businesses that employ illegal aliens with an escalating range starting with fines and ending with denial of business permits. The ordinance also requires all people who rent their domicile to apply to the city for a registration permit. Any property owner who rents to a person who does not have the proper permit would be fined. Part of the application process for obtaining said permit would be verification of citizenship or immigration status. Lastly, the ordinance would adopt english as the official language of the town for all town business.

Both of theses were posted this morning .I hope it helps you .:)

There's a city in Texas, maybe a suburb of Austin, that's voting on an anti-illegal ordinance...

think katsulove pretty much explained it on this one. I am from dallas though don't reside in farmer's branch and i believe this is the second time that these ordinances are going to be brought up as proposal by the same person whom brought them up the last time. As far as it being passed or not well that's still going to be decided. Tonight they will debate wether to even go forth with any of the ordinances and then in the following days the city council will vote on wich ordinances will be passed. seems it should be an interesting debate to attend though.

I had not yet heard this, but it is marvelous news.

Perhaps our battle against illegals in our nation will be longer, but we shall prevail.

Evidence of the kind of people we deal with are many on this forum who band together to remove those they disagree with, for example...Tina Louise Smith, Alberto, and others who are pro-illegal for whatever reason.

I wish Richmond would, I'm tired of having to choose English as my preferred language on ATM's and such. Why should I have to choose what language I want in my own country?
