Is your cat male or female? If it is a male cat, has it been neutered? If it hasn't, then your cat may be spraying to mark his territory. If he has been neutered, he may have an underlying health problem. My cat did the same thing for a few weeks, but it was on my *white* carpet.
What worked for me is a bottle of natural cat stain remover in orange. You can get something like it in any major pet store. The key is to get a bottle with orange smell/formula, because cat's can't stand that smell.
As for your clothes, try washing them with orange detergent. It fights the cat pee smell better than anything else. You may smell like oranges for a little while, but I don't think there's anything wrong with that!

A good start would be keeping your closet door closed. This simple step would deny the cat access to the spot he wants to use. Also, be sure he is neutered, because it just might be spray on the wall, rather than pee on the floor.
If he hasn't "tagged" your clothing, and it is just a matter of the fabric absorbing the odor, a good airing, if you can hang your clothes outside, should do the trick. Febreze is a wonderful product for any odor that fabric can pick up. It is safe for everything I've used it on thus far. You don't have to soak the fabric, just lightly spray over it. For the long haul, you might try finding a nice scent of potpouri at your local dollar store. Just fill an old nylon stocking with it and tack it up on your closet wall. It will give you clothes a pleasant scent and overpower any lingering odor from the floor.

Try Urine Gone. I bought it online and it comes with a black light that will show you exactly where your little one peed. . It was about $20 and I also have seen it at Linen's N Things. I had the same problem in my living room. You turn off all the lights, use the black light to find the pee. It glows a greenish blue color, then you saturate the stain with the Urine Gone. I let it sit for about an hour then cleaned up the excess liquid. I also sprinkled some Arm N' Hammer Baking soda on it once it dried and then vacummed it up after it was completely dry I had to repeat this process 3 or 4 times and the smell is now gone. Good luck!

There is a product called Nature's Miracle for Cats. It is an enzyme that destroys urine. It is available at most pet stores, and comes in different sizes. The trick is to keep using it until there is no urine odor what so ever. Then use it one more time. Directions are on bottle. You can spray your clothes with it, and then wash as usual. Wood floors, you can let it sit on the floor for a few minutes, then soak it up. Carpets you can let it sit longer, then clean it up. All of this could take a few treatments to completely remove the urine.
Usually, once the "scent" is out of the wood or carpet, the cat should stop.
If it is a health issue with the cat, then take it to the vet.

The only way you might get the smell out of your clothes is to soak them in a good liquid fabric softner overnight....It worked once for me....about the floor though, all you can do is to scrub it really good and keep your door shut so the cat doesn't go in there anymore. The pee probably has soaked in the layers of the wood and will just take time to go away as long as it doesn't continue to happen. Maybe try setting the litter box beside your closet with the doors shut. So when it has to go, and goes there to go, it will see the litter box and use it instead. Good Luck.

I got this trick from a kirby salesman!! Use lysterine(or any brand of mouth wash) it neutrolizes the ammonia in cat urine. I would check and make sure it is safe for wood floors...but it works. If the urine has soaked all the way thru the floor..then you need to seal the floor. We had to do this to our floors when we replaced the carpet. THe urine had soaked thru to the wood. It was either replace or seal. Sealing was much cheaper and works!! You can use the brand "Kilz" floor sealant. It works great! Good luck getting that nasty smell out!

You know, my dogs used to pee all over the house and I found the best thing to get it out of carpet was the brand name "ALL" liquid laundry soap. It worked great on the carpet because it didn't get all sudsy and spill out of the wet/dry vac. You might want to try washing your floors and clothing(twice) with that.
I recommend the purple one that's berry scented. I'd leave it on for a few minutes.

Wipe clean with wet towel then dry thoruoghly. Put baking soda on it and let sit for a few hours and sweep. If you want to afterwards clean with Pinesol. Baking soda takes the smeel of cat pee out of anything.
