sad how many of these answers so far only give negative feedback. I can almost guarantee that the first thing in their minds is 'the Mexicans....blah,blah,blah....' ; some made comments about the american businesses and such. For the most part, the illegal immigrant worker (yes, let's just talk about the mexicans because they make up the larger group) will spend quite a few of his hard earned dollars to boost the economy in the lower and middle class businesses, everyone knows a high income caucasian family most likely has hired a mexican maid/nanny to clean their house and raise their children yet, they judge based on prejudice and skin color. There are many jewish, australian, English, French, Indian, Iraqui, Iranian, and many other races of illegal immigrants. The difference; for the most part, some of these are well to do and have already secured their own business and perhaps can afford the high fees of immigration papers. The Mexican, comes from a very poor country and low education, do you think that I am worried about losing my Engineering job to one of them? please people!
Are there some criminals amongst them?, yes, but for the most part they are honest, hard working people only trying to better their lives and feed their families. I don't see any caucasian volunterring to wash cars in the hot summer months, or stand in front of Home Depot day in and day out just to make a living, they are too busy lying to the unemployment office on how they could not get a job and poor me stories. Have you seen any mexican standing on a corner asking for hand out with a typical sign of 'I'm a veteran please help!' I'm not saying some of them are not....I'm just making a point that even these low on their luck souls that are healthy looking won't wash cars or pick fruit. The rest of you can be assured that at the end of the year, these poor mexicans won't be trying to figure out ways of cheating our governmnet out of paying taxes.....no, they will be back at their corners selling oranges and flowers and such....hoping intolerable people won't report them. Can immigration be improved? yes,,,,,,but let's be humans and tolerate the workforce out there that helps out our economy overall.

There isn't any for the American people.
The illegals are only good for American business, those that break federal laws by hiring them.

"IamwhoIam"....you are a RACIST and a very SICK individual, FIRST, the question didn't say 'mexican', but you sure did....and, piss on you for even thinking about talking down to a vet, the vet gave to this Country, unlike your illegal mexican that you want to support...

U.P.

I think everything that you can find positive about other criminals you can find positive in illegal immigrants. Why? Because they are no different.
