No, sorry...the wine they drank was either fermanted or unermented wines (alcohol vs. grape juice) these were bot called wines..wrong answer.

Oh, but the bible DOES say not to drink it..not to drink STRONG drink! Again....wrong answer...you should visit this website if you think drinking is ok, even occasionally!

I'm so glad that someone asked this question! I have been wondering it myself. I am a christian and I drink. I don't all the time, and I have gotten drunk, very few times, but I have (and I know thats wrong, and can understand people having problems with that) However, my family and I have serious disagreements on this subject. I don't think that there is anything wrong biblically speeking with having a social drink, some of my family disagrees but can't back it up. I'm 21, legal and responsible with it. I think its ok considering wine was pretty much the beverage of choise back in biblical times. As far as marijuana, I think its wrong becuase the whole purpose of it is to get high and alter the mind and I don;t think thats godly.

No where in the Bible is the use of alcohol forbidden,Jesus himself drank wine on several occasions in the Bible. And for those who will bring up the "new wine" bit about Jesus essentially drinking unfermented wine there is no biblical basis for this. It only became an argument when the temperance movement began. What the Bible did seem to show as a sin was drunkenness. Which most likely is not referring to occasional inebriation,but rather abuse. And for those who could not moderate their drink then to abstain was taught,but that's the only example.Just google alcohol/bible and there are many links to explain much better rather than taking tips from what is most likely some recovering alcoholic radio guy in your link.

The bible doesn't say anything about alcohol or drinking as such. Why would it? Wine was the universal beverage of the time. Jesus and the Apostles drank it just like everyone else. What the Bible does denounce is drunkeness, and other forms of excess indulgence in otherwise good things.

Beer has a low alcohol content which slows the p.c.. of your getting inebriated quite. which could be solid. Beer has (a lot) extra internet carbohydrate for protein dieters. My wager is that undemanding, purple wine is perhaps the most nutritious alcoholic drink. keep on with 2 beverages or a lot less in step with day. This aspect is perhaps unharmful for some, and may actually have some advantages.

About Marijuana:

Drinking alcohol can affect brain, and so is using marijuana. But even in the Bible there was the drinking of wine, so you can use alcohol, but not too much (one glass of wine and that's it!)

I don't know what it says about them. I think Marijuana is probably a bad idea because it alters your mind and can destroy it.
Alcohol, they drank wine then. Everything is bad in excess, so I guess water is as bad as wine (you can drown yourself by drinking too much water... really)

ok this is easy...alchol and drugs are made to mess up the mind...if your thinking about taking alchol or drugs..chances are your mind maybe slightly messed up already, so messing it up more wid drugs/alchol aint gonna help...trust me this is from expereince...the problem you may have is, but why do so many people do it? its cos they were curious..they tried it and now they used to it..but did you know there loads of people out here that dont do drugs, smoke or anything..and they aint all religious or boring..its just they find other things interested and stimulating on the mind instead of getting smashed...!! read a book, join a rock climbing team, get a pen pal in india you can do anything..theres more to life that getting wasted!!

Drug use is spiritism, but moderate use of alcohol is ok.

Moderate use-----one, two, maybe three beers with meal.

Just don't get drunk.
