alot of cats/kittens like a paper bag or a cardboard box to hide and play in. Cat nip is fun for them also. I would discourage any scratching on furniture to get them to jump and play as they learn that habit on their own!

my cat loves lazer pointers, the rings off the milk bottles and plastic spoons. If you sit on the floor my cat will chase objects back and forth for hours and then there is the good old string which you can run around the hous with making your cat run in circles.

My cat loves those little laser pointers - just chase the little red light around the room and they go nuts trying to chase it - great exercise for the cat/kitten also.

Kittens LOOOOOVE playing a game called "watch me fly"..

what you need ot do is grab a ladder, climb to the top of your roof at home.. trying hard not to fall to your death.. then ask someone to pass you a few kittens.. if there is one.. chances are there will be a few.. as cats tend to have litters..

So anyway.. when the little fellas are scambling over roof tiles.. squealing like defensless sulks who never shut up.. you throw them off!

And that's the game of "watch me fly"

Get one of those sticks with the strings on the end of it and they will chase the strings for hours or as long as you will play with it.
