Sometimes people do the thumbs down because they know that you are not suppose to answer your own question's (like you did). A lot of people will give a lot of thumbs up to people when they just ask a question with no added personal opinion's. And that is why there is so many thumbs down's in a lot of people's question's. This is what's i've learned from being on this site for 5 month's now.

And speaking of pointless questions. Not everybody know's what Mensa is, and I would have to say that this could be added to the list. I've seen many more valueable question's that people can benefit from then this one that you have just asked. I'm sure these type of question's isn't what Yahoo Answer's had in mind when they first started.

Good question my friend,

Wherever there is red, there will be black,
Wherever there is good, there will be bad.

It is human's way of answering a question sub-consciencely, it mixes with curitosity and the elements of challenege.

A human will always want to find something out,
especially if its not ment to, hence temptations,
The first people to prove to this to us was, adam and eve from the bible, they could have had any fruit they wanted but noooo, they had to have the apple, haha,

but more to the point, humans also have other feelings that trigger reaction, example: jealousy, confusion, insecurity etc, in negative people minds they think without realising:

"hey if im doing bad in life and im not happy, and i know i can do better but i just can't because im afriad. and this person is about to do what i have always wanted to do just by thinking there not afriad to do it...hey no way cant let that happen i best discougae them"

Think about it, everyone has felt jealously, these are the words that lick around your brain without even listening to it

Every person has the capability to be the most powerful and/or happy in the world, but as you grow up your childhood is the thing that shapes you mentality, shapes your thought proccess and what makes you happy weather it is power, success, relaxing, loving ,caring, playing chanleneging or whatever. every person goes through there childhood with good and bad experieces and the severites of each really determine what person you will be like, and after maturity some people dont have to change, some do. some cant because they say they cant and some can because they say they can.

People forget how their are really in control of their life and can make it anyway they can by just thinking they can, and also learning whats vital about it,

Remember in life " What you see mainly depends on what your looking for"

I had 2 friends who had bad etiquette and a bad upbringgings but after time people couldnt stand them and got exhiled from society pretty much, but after time one realised why and the other didnt, and kept hating the world, after some years on changed just the little things of life and the big picture changed for him, and the other stayed the same and expected the world to change for him.. remember you must give the world something if you want something from the world.

Hi Ginger

People are people. Some good and some bad. The bad ones tend to get off on negatives as it make them feel better. On the other hand some people are unaware of how they come across to others and so the negative responce may be because of the way the question etc was asked in the first place!

Text or righting is the worst as one cannot put in facial expressions or vocal tones.

Ah well life is life.

I agree with you that there is no excuse for rudeness. Its probably true to say that many people will find it frustrating if their search for interesting and stimulating questions is hampered by hundreds of less demanding enquiries. However, at present it seems to be fairly easy to find the sort of questions you are interested in lets hope it continues the way it is with a wide range of of Q & A topics.

In my opinion each person has a level of tolerance for everything in life. Some people's levels are just lower than other and so they are more easily offended or agitated by silly things in life. I do agree that people should just ask what they want and should just ignore the naysayers

I'm not easily offended, infact i dont get offended at all. Go on, do your worst and see if you can offend me.

I think its funny that people give thumbs down like it means something, its not like im going to go off and cry because some anonymous up their own backside div gives me a thumbs down.

Am i allowed to keep giving pointless answers :)

it's because we're all going soft. In the past it was tough if you don't like it ignore it or go away or change the channel etc. Some people are not intelligent enough to have a decent argument backed with ideas and views they'd rather just swear at you and call you names.

Feelings get in the way. Humans have a diffiuclt time setting feelings aside and looking at topics as just that, Topics, Questions etc.
