try to convince them to keep the kitten a few more weeks. if they insist, buy kitten milk and a kitten bottle. if nothing else, bottle feeding it will calm it when it misses mom at 2am and starts crying. if you are lucky enough to get a cat that does not miss mom at 7 weeks, a saucer of kitten milk is still a good idea. you might also have to mix it with canned food to help him eat for a few weeks. pet stores and walmart carry both kitten milk and small animal bottles. kitten should go to a vet as soon as possible, kittens have many common, easily treated problems, like worms. have the vet show you how to bottle feed, it is not like a human baby. also, consider adopting at least two kittens, siblings same gender are best, but any kitten of the same age will work. kittens comfort and amuse each other.

In my experience it is ok to give a little milk if it's watered down. Don't give the milk every day or it will make it sick. You could use the milk as a treat or special occasion, Your kitten should be fine and sounds well loved.

If you want to feed your kitten milk, feed it baby formula! The milk will give it the runs for sure and the formula is actually better for it. But....if it is old enough to be weaned, all it really needs to drink is water. They sell kitten formula but it is very expensive, so a vet told me to use baby formula. That is expensive too but not nearly as the kitten formula. It is 6 dollars for a carton the size of those little juice box drinks kids like to drink. And a can of baby formula is about 5 bucks, but that one you add water too and so you get much more.

I have 2 kittens that are about 12 wks old and I give them the purina cat/kitten milk. It comes in a little box like a kids juice box. I get mine from stop and shop and it is only 1.09 a box. Thats a really good price and it is 98 percent lactose free.Good luck with you kitten:)

go to a pet store and get milk for kittens, its formulated from a cat-mother's milk, so it won't give your kitten any unwanted side effects.

And by the way, it will NOT give worms... as a poster had previously stated... worms are a parasitic infection,so a cat must be in contact with the parasite or it's eggs to get sick.

kittens drink cat milk.. not cow milk..

infact.. until humans adopted cats and started milking cows.. i doubt the humble cat had ever had a suck on a cow teet let alone had the homoginized version poured snap cold into a plastic oily bowl..

I say stick to kitten specific milk.. and only include a small amount of bovine milk

Purina sells Cat Milk, great for all cats of any age. It's in most grocery stores, but it's very rich and you don't need to feed a lot to your kitten. I dilute with water.

Milk is very hard for a cat to digest, so I recommend the cat kind you can buy at walmart or a pet store.
