I feel I had to answer being what seems the only Muslim on here to give an answer. I have to say that for the majority of the answers, I'm quite disappointed, yet not surprised. Muslims are speaking out against extremists all the time, but since you rely on CNN and FOX to give you the complete guide to worldly events, of course you will not see it. CNN and FOX want action, they want to see explosions and riots and murderes, they don't care about Muslims attempting peaceful means of getting their message across and denouncing extremists and terrorists. Therefore you won't see it from them. In order to see these types of people, you have to search for yourself. However I will give you a bit of assistance in hopes that it encourages you to seek out beyond the normal means of information and to see that you don't always hear the truth from your most trusted sources.

To answer the miseducated Obzi: it was due to a fellow Muslim who went to the authorities that the terrorists in Europe were stopped dead in their tracks before the big plan to hit the US again. It was also due to fellow Muslims in Canada that helped the authorities locate an extremist trained by Al-Qaida. Why did these people give away their "brothers?" Because it meant saving the lives of hundreds if not thousands of innocents, and that is the goodness that Islam teaches.
What about those in mosques who are speaking out against extremism and discouraging anything close to it, and encouraging us to reach out to the people of other faiths to build bridges between the communities? I can't tell you about what they say in the M.E., but I can swear to you that this is what 95% of mosques here in the US preach about. Don't believe me? Visit a mosque!
Yes, there are hundreds if not thousands condemning our troops in Iraq because it is a war based on lies and false allegations that have cost the lives of many many innocent people of Iraq. Ask an Iraqi if life was better before or after Saddam and you'd be surprised at the answer! http://riverbendblog.blogspot.com/ I am against the war in Iraq for these reasons and if it were a war in Germany or in South Africa (just throuwing names out) or anywhere else in the world, I would be just as strongly against it.
Lol, when Bush leaves office, should we all escort him out, ban him from all churches, will people come on t.v. and tell us how they helped get him out? Two criminals with blood on both their hands, only one hides behind a smile and a wink and the American flag. You should be more upset about that!

If i knew any extremist muslims i would have no problem denouncing them or letting the police know of their activities. But the clear fact is i get judged for what a small minority of people are doing in this country or in other parts of the world. We are not all suicide bombers in hiding or working for Osama. Some of us just want to get on with our lives and then you come to a site like this and you find some very offensive questions and statements against Musllims (not yours) from people that have been brainwashed by the media. What people dont realise is the media only gives you one side of the story. And that everyone needs to stop making scapegoats of all Muslims we dont all know terrorists in training and we do make trips to Pakistan but not to train in terrorist camps!!

Thank you, Thank you.
I have been talking about this on here for ages, at last someone else can see what's going on.
I could suggest you look through my answers to see what i've said previously but you'll be there for weeks.
How many times have ANY Muslims come forward and said to the Police, this guy we know has been training in Pakistan?
What about those in the Mosques who support people like Abu Hamza, those who are working for him still and raising money for his cause?
What about those in Mosques who are speaking out against other religions, other cultures and against the average man on the street saying they are die?
Most of all, there must be hundreds if not thousands who are openly condeming our lads in Iraq and actively raising money so more and more are butchered while trying to help the people or Iraq?
With people like Abu Hamza who was finally kicked out, why did none of the Muslim leaders help to deport him? Why didn't they BAN him from every Mosque in the country? Why didn't they come on tv and tell us how they were helping the government to get rid of him?
I think we all know the answer.

Look what is happening in Iraq? Muslims are killing their brother and sister Muslims because they follow a slightly different path. If I was a Muslim I would denounce all the Facist Muslims BUT you would propably be going to my funeral the very next day

Speaking for myself, I hate the idea that because of some other extremists that follow my religion, I am judged for a bad person even before I open my mouth or show any act.

Nah, i don't care who labels me as a bad muslims or terrible muslims or perhaps though, Allah (swt) is familiar with what's on your coronary heart. for sure those form of people omit the main significant component to Islam, which could be that for the time of basic terms Allah (swt) judges and not some guy or woman who only found out couple rules and starts pointing arms. in case you inspect distinctive those pupils, they are so humble and form. that's form of behaviour is strictly how muslims force a non-training muslim removed from Islam. everybody has their own struggles and concerns, enable them to objective for themselves. in case you experience somebody's doing incorrect or perhaps though only talk to them privately and good, not in front of everybody and embarrass them. And when you have informed them good, you accountability as a muslim is achieved, then this is not up on your from now on, this is as much as the guy. people like that pisss the hell out of me. lol and that i'm not afraid of all people. -_-

I don't know, but it is quite possible yes.
I think another reason they don't denounce them is that although they don't agree with suicide bombings etc they do see them as part of a strategy to get back at the evil west who they see as causing many deaths in the middle east.

I think if I had to share the same sandbox with someone who could blow it up i would certainly be careful with how far and how fast I pushed that other person. Not all of us are natural born negotiators.
