Ancient india is the land of science. sanatana dharma is inclusive of all knowledges. unlike western religions where everything is centred around the holdy book, god, jesus and church sanatana dharma is focused on knowledge (vedas), humanity, kindness and compassion.

hindus were keen observers of all natural phenomena. they noted down their observations in sankrit. sanskrit is a poetic language. the best property of this language is that it can store immense information. words are filled with meanings which only a intelligent man can decipher. since it was stored in a poetic form it is easy to pass on from one generation to next. hence we have so many of them even today.

Hindus believed in astronomy and astrology. both are interconnected. astronomy deals with stars, solar & planetary systems. astrology on the other hand uses these planetary systems to predict the effects of these planets on a particular person. they believed there are seven planets and two pseudo planets, rahu & ketu making in nine. hence the navagrahas. pluto was never considered a planet by hindus. recently pluto was stripped of the the title of planet.

yoga deals with human body, psychology, intellect and Dhyana(meditation). Patanjali's yoga sutras are an amazing piece of work on the human consciousness which india has gifted to humanity.

ayurveda is another gift of hindus to the humanity. Dhanvanthari, is the god in charge of all medical sciences. And Ashwini kumars are the first celestial doctors. first surgeon in the world is Charaka, he was an expert in facial restoration. he lived atleast 3000 years back.

aircrafts were another invention of hindus. most famous is the pushpaka vimana. viman mean aircraft. some were used to transport peole and good, it is believed to carry a few thousands of men & women. something even today boeing and airbus is struggling to achieve. Ravan the lord of lanka was the first to use an aircraft in war, for strafing and bombing operations. another interesting one is that of the three palaces of tripurasura, it was more like a huge flying saucer containig an entire city. he had three of them. i dont remember the designer of the three flying cities which could dock each other whenever they requred. something like the soyuz and apolllo missions where two space crafs docking.

in hinduism science, arts, commerce, music, etc are seperate from religion. they are interconnected. it is designed by an advanced civilized intelligent humanity which hindus are. their ken observations are recoreded in thier religious texts, so that humanity does not forget those precious information with passage of time.

Aum Shanti, Shanti,Shanti.

Indians Particularly Hindus are practitioners of Vedic tradition. Hinduism is not a religion like others but a way of life prescribed in Vedic texts. Veda has many parts and sub parts called vedangas or limbs of vedas. The science of jyotisha(astronomy and astrology), Yoga which is one of the six sastras, ayurveda etc are part of vedanga. Who ever is interested and exhibits special talent for a particular subject is given special tuition in that branch to produce an expert.(like the Doctorates of today). This tradition has been in vogue for thousands of years as such most of these are part of individuals life in India.

Hinduism started along with the human race. For want of experts in sanskrit & due to the passage of time.Much wisdom remains buried.
It has lot more to offer to the mankind. For all the disgrace Suffered I has nothing to do with the religion. It is to be blamed on superstitious beliefs & succesive invasions that has rocked our country.Hinduism is very much different from what has been portrayed by the British historians.Get hold to it,to the Hinduism the religion for the Intellectual race of the Mankind.

Dear! It is not mixed along with the religion, it is the religion itself. You know that the martial arts originated from budhist monks as a protective tool, kalaripayattu was taught by people adept in ayurveda, the fight with sticks(Kolpayattu) from Muslim Pundits etc. All these were taught by matured minds to other matured bodies. Tp attain maturity, a person needs to have rich experiences and unwritten rules set by the relligion. Thus maturity of mind was largely due their knowledge of the world, their keen observations, their respect to nature etc. Thus religion and other aspects were taught by highly skilled and matured minds and so they cannot be seperated from one another!!
