And one of the scrolls from Isaiah refers to the Messiah, but it did not appear in any of the previously known Hebrew writings so when Jesus quoted it, for a long time skeptics have said he was quoting scripture that did not exist, trying to put himself in the Old Testament. Now that they found the scripture in Isaiah, dated before Christ, now it is proven that Jesus was not tampering with the Hebrew writings, or that Christians did not "insert" Messiah scriptures into the Old Testament. So although the manuscripts pertain to the Hebrew writings, they also verify things in the New Testament.

It mostly contained Old Testament text, no New Testament. Prior to the Dead Sea Scrolls being found, the oldest O.T. manuscripts were about c.350 A.D. This new find went back to about c. 400 B.C.
But, what it said was that the oldest Old Testament Scriptures that we had previously were accurate.

dukalink is right about the bedouin boy and the goat. The Bible passages: many were from Isaiah. There was also history and local lore in the scrolls. You can tell why Jesus said there was too much talk and not enough action because there's legend and goofy stuff included in the scrolls as well.
