Hong Kong is one huge shopping mall, but there are no prices on anything. You have to haggle -- and they expect you to haggle.
Never, ever, accept the first price or even the second price you are offered. Go to several shops, get their best price and then go back to the each shop and see if they will beat the price.
But remember to be really sure that the product is what you want, and that it really is what you think it is. You can buy a fake anything (and you will be openly offered them too). Even genuine products are not always the same as the UK or European version, and you can't take it back if you don't like it.
Though I have been to HK many times, I have never bought a technical product there. Also, it is nothing like as cheap as it used to be. You can probably get same prices on Internet - but maybe haggling is more fun. Clothes, etc are cheap, funky and don't go wrong!

Hong Kong has an exceptionally high rate of dodgy goods, and by this I mean stuff that will not work, fall apart, break without warranty etc etc. If you go there and see it working in front of you, it may be ok, but never, ever! buy anything over the interweb from there my friend. It WILL be trash, I guarantee it :(
