Are you kidding? People calling themselves Satanists is like hanging a target around their necks. They are tailoring their worship to be opposed to Christians--who historically had to manufacture enemies for themselves from various nonchristian religions whom they had to label Satanists. People actually choosing to follow Satan is giving in to every Christian's paradigm of the world as the devil's empire and all nonchristians as followers of the devil. They've made the Christian's day by giving them a real and living enemy.

I imagine Satanists, for the most part, do this intentionally to antagonize Christians. I can't imagine a Satanist just joining up because the doctrines are interesting or to give himself a strong moral framework. It's antagonism. That's the whole point--and if you antagonize people they tend to get mad.

If Satanists wanted to exist peacably they would do what most other marginallized groups do--find an obscure name for their system of belief, a less well known name for their demonic patron, and promote their canon of ideology as its own thing rather than trying to take on the Christian movement head on.

that is grow to be extremely a thanks to disclaim both "faith" and "denomination" between some, emphasizing the "courting" area of being Christian. faith - undesirable! courting - solid! between the answerers above me even lays it out for you; those individuals are extremely fond of their personal definitions for non secular words, and apparently faith equals rituals (and thanks for the gratuitous dig about "worshipping statues", too, by how sir. thanks to perpetuate a loved fantasy) purely as "prayer" equals "worship" of their attitude. What baffles me is why those who make courting with Jesus so all-major do not get the first ingredient about what a personal, intimate courting IS. Human relationships -- and Jesus is unquestionably completely human to boot as completely devine -- contain more effective than purely correspondence, as in love letters, which for that reason is the Bible. in the journey that they are extremely "personal" and by no potential purely an psychological or emotional reaction to written or spoken words, they contain contact. in truth, contact is a undemanding human favor. (study done on little ones who were disadvantaged of contact instruct that, if information is needed.) yet those people also placed serious distance between themselves and the sacraments -- which, oddly sufficient, are the potential by which Christ touches us. So it begs the question: Why complication dissing "faith" or any prepared faith community in favor of Jesus 'n' me, once you're holding him at arm's length by refusing his sacramental presence? that is like looking the affection of your existence on the internet and being pleased with purely interpreting his e-mails.
