If I'm studying: Study for 1 hour, take a 5 minute break, If it's during the day, I'd study 2 hrs, and take a 10-20 minute break and do stretches or take a walk around my house to breath in fresh air. This clears the mind and helps allot!
For just normal reading, I usually get restless after 3 hrs of non stop reading. a Cup of tea usually strengthens my resolve.

I could read 24/7 given the chance, but if you're studying then just take a break when you notice your concentration is slipping.
Depending on how fascinating the subject is this will probably be between 40 mins and an hour.

Depending on the book....
Usually a minimum of 5 chapters, or 1 hour.....whichever comes first, but if it is a book like Harry Potter, The Lord of The Rings, or other amazing stories....it might be 5 or 6 hours. I have been known to read an entire book in one sitting.
Books are one of the best past times.

I can read for seriously a long time. I only take a break when my back starts to hurt.

Why do you need a break, have you been reading like 15 hours or something? I usually read till I'm finished.

I would say that is entirely up to the individual and at what time of the day you are reading. You know when your eyes start to get heavy or the words start running into one another , that it's time to put that book DOWN !

Depends. If it's a text book, about 10 mins before my eyes start to cross. Otherwise it is about 4 hours or until I get sleepy.

some times i read all day , only stopping for loo breaks and the occasional snack. Especially if it's a James Patterson thriller, you can't help but page turn.

I can read for many hours without a break but my eyes don't exactly look great when I have finished.
