The noise about illegal migrants in this country should not be used to scare the good peolpe of this country. rather the govt. should let them know the benefits of having migrants in the country. migrants who have stayed in the country illegally for four to five years with proof should be given amnesty and allowed to remain and contribute to the society.

Amnesty was given back in the 70's or 80's.......any person who snuck in after that, when caught, should be held in jail for two weeks while his/her family/atty. are free to show the proof that the prisoner is legal. After that the prisoner should be deported to their native country. We now set the offender free after a hearing..and most of the time they vanish back into our country.
Social Security, schools and other organizations are not allowed to share this information...that is soooowrong.Illegals are not checked for immunization, proper taxes are not reported, our hospitals, schools and other social service organizations are stressed beyond their limits. We do have a mechanism for political refugees. If so much of our resources wasn't spent on illegals, we could speed up the process for those wonderful people that stand in line, to enter our country legally.
We don't want or need anyone that thumbs their nose at our laws!
Our country began collecting income taxes to protect our borders....seems like this should be priority one...not the cost of labor.
The borders would be the best place to use our National Guard.

Gov't should have done something about illegal immigration ages ago! Noise is being made because so many Americans are complaining and rightly so! I have to disagree with you about people living here illegally for 4-5 years should be given amnesty. Just because they have been here that long does not make it right. If I break into people's houses every day for 4-5 years does that make it right?? ILLEGAL IS ILLEGAL

This country should adopt a similar points system to Australia, you have to have skills to immigrate and if there isn't a job going which you won't be taking from a local then you don't get in. No dole paytments should be made to anyone who can physically work in any of the unskilled jobs currently filled by imigrants

all illegal immigrants should be reported from country in no time unregardless for how long they have been illegally living there. no amnesty. and i really don't understand why nobody asks people living in all those countries with illegal immigrants - we re paying taxes. we have to have rights to decide smth. u , illegal immigrants, re not contibuting to society with anything, except occupying illegally jobs for which u get illegal salary from which u pay no taxes. so how on earth u re contributing to any society?

Immigration will never be sorted because the government doesn't have the balls to stop people coming into the country. They fear it will ruin relationships & will have no1 to back them up when they decide to pick a fight with another country.

Yes, the U.S. govnt should be strict about enforcing the laws of the land. This is done everywhere in the world and a country's tolerance should not be abused.

Bull...
Are you suggesting that criminals who have been avoiding the law for more than five years be granted amnesty?
