Yes you can but ask your vet for a prescription. Pets are placed in the cargo hold of the airplane and it's my opinion that it's more humane to tranquilize than let the animal go thru the trauma of the ride in the cargo hold - can you imagine the noise there?

I'm with Badgirl-Benedryl. Also most pet stores carry something that will calm a dog. I would check with a vet for the doseage.

Get them a first class ticket and they can have free mixed drinks. Amazing how relaxed they can be after a few mojitos.

Benadryl, give 1mg per pound of body weight, it will make the dog sleepy and more relaxed, call your vet first and make sure it is right for your dog.
