Yeah!. But how do you like the eggs. I prefer mine scrambled.

How's about some kidney, and, as others mentioned, must have baked beans, and it must be wholewheat bread for the toast, and butter - none of that plastic margarine stuff. And don't forget the Corn Flakes and freshly squeezed orange juice.

The only alternative decent breaky is kippers, but not every day.

Yes, you are right - when you are feeling really famished, a full English breakfast takes some beating.

I had a couple of American friends to stay last year, and one asked if she could sample a traditional English breakfast. Well, I usually have only a cereal and a fruit juice myself, but thought "Why not?". So grilled high quality streaky bacon (it's the only way to get a real crisp but still tasty rasher!), free range eggs fried in a smear of poluyunsaturated oil, English tomatoes ditto, grilled Lincolnshire pork sausages with sage, and bread smeared with the bacon juices and lightly grilled to give a sort of 'fried-toasted' bread. All this accompanied by ice cold, freshly squeezed orange juice, and followed by tea or coffee and lots of toast with Devon butter and homemade marmalade. (Can't you just smell and taste it?!)
The result of this introduction to our traditional breakfast was that my friends, when staying in hotels during the remainder of their visit, insisted upon having a 'hearty English breakfast' to start their day. Meanwhile, I reverted back to my cereal and orange juice!
PS1 I agree about leaving out the hashbrowns.
PS2 Our American readers should note that 'my' breakfast was, in effect, a 'non-fried' one - so not as bad for you as the old fashioned, 'greasy spoon cafe' meal!

Never! Full Scottish - Fried egg, square sausage, bacon, tattie scone, beans - some like black pudding/mushies/tomato, I say keep it. Tea and toast. The business.

If i can change the bacon and sausage for veggie bacon and sausgage I'm with you on this one.

Can i throw in a little basil on the tomatoes and have fried and scrambles eggs, oh and baken beans. Also, a little fried bread wouldn't go amiss.

We serve a full english veggie breakfast in our veggie B&B....emmm its great.

Sorry, but hash brown is not english, it's american processed potato flakes sqeezed together.

You could add in fried potatoes and black pudding.
