I'm after a 40" LCD tv preferably full HD 1080p with 2 HDMI sockets any recommendations

There are only two tvs, that are reliable. If you buy an lg or zenith, you are in trouble, i bought one and it went to waste. Buy either a SONY, or TOSHIBA, even SAMSUNG, they are reliable companies with a good service record. Even check out the company FUNAI, but they make a 42 inch tv only. I definately know that Sony reccomendations

Get the Toshiba LCD with 2 HDMI sockets and 1080 HD. I bought one 4 weeks ago and it is a dream!!!

Go for a samsung,im not sure if you will get that spec in LCD but samsung is a great TV in my opinion it equals Sony and a lot cheaper John Lewis gives a 5 year warranty for free

there are no LCD tv on sale with full 1080p, only 1080i. LG do a plasma with 1080p.

We've got a really lovely Samsung one SAMSUNG LE40R74BDX. Search on John Lewis and Hi Spek and you'll probably find it, I think Curry's and Comet also sell it but we found it much cheaper after doing an internet search and buying in on-line. It's a great TV but I'm not good on the technical stuff so am not sure if it's exactly the specification you want.

Sony DO a 40" LCD with 1080p. It's here......1920x1080 as well
