Meson Don Felipe on The Cut, London SE1 8LF (just behind Waterloo Station) is a fantastic place for tapas and other Spanish dishes. Prices are low (tapas start at about £2), it's always buzzing and there's often live music. You can either eat sitting up at the bar or at one of the larger tables. In Clapham, at 66-68 Clapham High Street, SW4 7UL you'll find La Rueda, a large restaurant and tapas bar serving excellent Spanish food at very reasonable prices - 3 course would be about £20-£25 a head.

I chef at Number 22 - it's a Spanish influenced tapas bar though we do offer paella and cheleton too. All ingredients are seasonal and cooked to order - not a microwave on the premesis. There is a great sherry, wine and cocktail list too and an open fire. Plus you get one of the best chefs in London cooking for you. Come and check us out. We're in Herne Hill by the way - www.number-22.com

del Parc, 167 Junction Road, N19
tapas
small, fabulous, authentic and value for money. To be sure of a table on fridays and saturdays, you'll need to book 020 7281 5684. We've eaten there 3 times and will definitely be back.
Nearest tube: Archway
I agree with HRW about Meson Don Felipe, it's pretty good, but del Parc is better and no more expensive

Rebatos, 169 South Lambeth Road, SW8
This place is very good value and the food is easily the best in London. I know a few people who are prepared to travel across town to go here (me included).
