From a guy's point of view...(and I've put myself in this situation) is that we think ahead to what it would take to raise a child...and get scared(although it's a beautiful thing) because we really have no experience what-so-ever. Personally, I get scared that I won't be able to discipline them correctly or that my attitude will raise a child that is ungreatful or bad...there could be a lot of reasons...I would sit down and speak with him about it. I'm sure he'll reach a reasonable conclusion with you.

My husband wanted me to get pregnant and when I was he regretted it. He was scared and afraid of what kind of father he would be. After a couple of months he was fine and now with our daughter he can't imagine life without her. She is 6 months old and he is already begging for another one.

Did you guys talk about having children before you got married? Maybe he doesn't want kids ever or maybe he just doesn't want kids right now. Maybe he's waiting for everything to be 'perfect' before having kids or maybe he just wants some more alone time with you. You should ask him, not strangers on Yahoo questions, we don't know him. good luck

Is it your first child and does he have any? These would figure in his thoughts. Can you afford to have a baby financially? You may be putting too much pressure on him.

Not enough info. There can be many reasons.

1. He's not ready
2. He does not want children at all
3. He does not want children with you

Ask him!

Have a sit down heart to heart talk with him. Only he can answer your questions. Tell him honestly how you feel and be open to how he honestly feels.
