My 4 year old male dog pee's on everything. He pees on my vacume, trash container,etc..He is let outside quite a bit,he gets treats, his food is taken up by 7 p.m,but he does'nt stop peeing on everything.I am totally frustrated. When he gets mad at us for not letting him sleep in bed with us he goes and pees on something. If we go somewhere that we cant take him he pees on everything including our bed..
I love this dog so much.I dont want to part with him but I cant keep cleaning up pee everyday and I cant have our stuff destroyed either.I need help with him because I cant turn my back on him. Please any help or info is greatly appreciated.

Did you say what kind of dog it was?

It sounds more like he's marking rather than having to go potty.
I would find a really good article on crate training - unfortunately mine didn't come off the web. I would go back and treat him as if he was a puppy and retrain him. You CAN do it, but have to be very diligent and patient.

Also- I think there is a product you can put on him while he's out and about for marking - it's called a belly band or something like that for male dogs to prevent them from hiking their leg on the furnature.

Has your dog been neutered? That helps alot of problems. Or he might have a urinary problem. Take him to the vet to see if it's a physical problem. I'd try those 2 first. If that doesn't solve it, contact an animal behaviorist or trainer. They have good ideas.

They make a cheap dog collar which is a low voltage device to shock the animal when you activate it by remote control.

obedience classes work wonderful for this kinda thing, but if you don't want to try that try rewarding him when he doesn't teach him not to pee on everything. Everything animal needs to learn and you have to have patients.

Older dogs are set in their ways. You can try disciplining him, but it will be a long and rough road ahead.
