Do you mean marry? There is no good point since the parent is not the one marrying the person. People should marry out of mutual love, respect and friendship.

The good point? Parents are usually wiser than their children.
It sounds ridiculous, but I have a WHOLE lot of friends who would have been better off marrying the nice guys that their parents favored.

Well I guess they can't blame you if it all goes to pot.
This is fashionable in some countries but is pretty much out of style. You are the ones who have to live together, I think it would help if you liked each other and made this decision on your own.

Finding someone who fits in your family well is nice because they get to gain a whole new family.
If your families don't get along, or if you don't get along with his family, you can miss out on a lot of nice relationships.
