No.
Despite the fact that the Sanhedrin considered Jesus as a danger to the Jewish population (not a big danger, but still) in Israel, they had a little influence on the Romans and their commissioner in Israel, Pontias Pilate.
It were the Romans who crucified Jesus in the order of Pilate, and despite what "Passion of the Christ" shows, Pilate was NOT an easy character to convince, as he ruled Israel aggressively.

"The Second Vatican Council", that was opened by Pope John XXIII in 1962, had set this issue once and for all- Jews are not to be blamed in the death of Jesus Christ.

Not technically but they did play a huge part in it. He was executed by the Romans but the Jews commanded that it was done. Pontius Pilate didn't want to do so, and he wasn't a threat to the Romans. But the mob of Jews declared that it must be done so they were appeased.

No, he was executed by the Roman emporer Pontias Pilate. I suppose the Jews were guilty by proxy because they chose to have another man freed when Emporer Pilate offered to spare a man's life.

And he did not choose death, that is a miconception. As he was nailed to the cross he is quoted as saying "My Lord, why have you forsaken me?" Clearly not willing to die.

No.
The Romans did, and the last pope, John Paul II, acknowledged that. He apologized to the Jewish people for all the abuse they had to endure concerning this.

According to muslim belief, although Jews tried their best to crucify Jesus (Peace be upon him) but they failed to do so, because Jesus (Peace be upon him) was uplifted by Allah on Sky (heaven). The person who was crucified was not Jesus he was the enemy of Jesus whose face transform by Allah just like Jesus. According to history when 4 men of jews entered in the hut to take Jesus out for crufication at that time Jesus was uplift by Allah, and to give the punishment Allah tranfrom one of them face just like Jesus therfore when they came out Jews crowd catch him because his face was just like Jesus & crucified him. In the historical book u may find that later on after cruciying that person the crowd were divided in 3 groups. some of them said that they have not crucified Jesus but another men, some of them said they really crucified Jesus & some of them said that Jesus was being uplift by God. In Quran it is clearly mentioned that Jesus was uplifted by Allah on the sky. & he will return back before the Qiamat ( Last days of these universe).
