All I ever see is really cool looking American breakfast cereals like lucky charms, Captain Crunch and Frankenberry. Can you get them in England, I once saw a box of imported lucky charms for £8 is it worth it?

Most cereals full stop, are not better or very good for you, regardless of where they are from, as 98% of them contain (bulking) additives, such as gluten, lots of salt & sugar, to much wheat etc, which affect our bodies in negative ways, their are some that dont contain additives, & are what they say they are, on the box /packet, as well as usually more expensive, you will be likely to find these in the organic, wheat free, gluten free section, personally i enjoy the taste of these. But if your looking for cool, then what is cool, cause sugar is a drug & drugs are not cool...

I thought Lucky Charms were British?
Well, I used to eat them as a child and they were regular priced.
I don't know if you still get them here now, i'm pretty sure you do though. What shop was that you were in ? £8's not even funny.

The American stuff does look pretty good, I agree.
I would really love to try some of it. But they probably taste crappy lol. Like the weird things you get here, nesquick weetos sugar puffs. They are okay now and again or maybe for kids.
Look in some other shops and maybe get some as a one off. You can't eat much lucky charms anyway they're sickening lol :-D

ooh or try ebay. I'm not sure about the customs rules as there are some weird ones regarding food, but you should be okay for cereal. Enjoy!

You hit the nail on the head by saying "All I ever see is really cool looking American........"

Isn't food supposed to be about taste, not looks ?

American cereals seem to be sweet to me, full of rubbish no doubt.

So, in answer to your questions:
No, American cereals are not better than Egnlish ones
And no, £8 for a box of lucky Charms is not worth it

I imagine that they're pretty much the same (last time I was in the Grocery store, I did a quick look and there were over 60 different cold cereals!)...the big multinationals find something that appeals to homo sapiens taste buds and they'll run with it...only the packaging changes...and perhaps the color of the product...but people are people no matter where and usually what appeals to a few will appeal to many. (Escargot being a notable exception...yeck!)

well i hope nothing is different from the cereal just only the brand name, but mostly they are the same like corn cereal that are coated with sugar, cornflakes , star honey cereal, now they have another strawberry flavor but the same star honey cereal all are the same.you know they will do any thing to make their product to be sold fast.that's why they put something to attract customer.

were the lucky charms in Selfrages by chance?

its because they are packed full of sugar and really bad additives !

American guidelines are much more relaxed than UK ones - they are allowed to put pretty much anything in their food an sell it - just look at McDonalds - the only place I know where a salad is more unhealthy and fattening than a burger !!!

no they are not, and why all the fascination with America anyway?

would your REALLY buy a box of cereals for £8 just because they were imported from America? come on, surely not, a box Only lasts the same time as it would in England.... you must be off your trolley

England's main provider is Kellogs and they have all brands, but sometimes to see a different american cereal arrive on the shop shelf is tempting.

All the ones I have tried are so full of sugar it's not funny. They have alot of the same ones here as I used to get at home and they are much the same. I wouldn't buy them here and I certainly wouldn't pay the import price.
