I shall be grateful if you provide country-wise news of the mal-treatment, on this forum or via email to me. Only then could a response be given and the information shared with the Asker.
Kidnapping of children and discriminative taxes has never been in the news, here. In my household, I have Christian servants. Through them, I get news on the community, but never any news of this nature. The second, and more reliable, source of my informations on the Community has been my attendance of the meetings of the Inter Religious Dialogue Association. There too, such maltreatment was never reported. And we talk about the minorites all over the world !

All faiths are the persecuted and the persecutors. What the muslims are being accused of today the christians have been guilty of in the past.
Maybe all faiths are just on differing pionts along the same road.

usually when someone talks about Christians being persecuted, they are talking about not being able to put up the ten commandments in public places, or not being able to outlaw abortion, or not being able to ban 'Harry Potter' from the local library.
that isn't persecution, and - in general- Christians are not persecuted.
in strict Muslim countries you could be persecuted for being atheist, an ex-Muslim, a christian, female, gay, or even being the 'wrong type' of Muslim. that is a product of fundamentalism and extremism.
Then again, Fundamental Christianity is no barrel of fun, either.
Essexfriendly Atheist/agnostic and proud of it

If you look at history, Christians have also done the torturing to others, even in Muslim countries. Read about the Crusades.

Christians are not persecuted, though many have a persecution complex, they sort of want to be martyrs and to feel persecuted.
However everybody in Islamic countries is persecuted and repressed including Muslim.s themselves it's a repressive and uncompromising religious and political system that does not respect human rights the way we do mostly in democratic countries.

Are you being persecuted? I'm sorry if you are but I would like details. I doubt that it could be considered persecution.
I'm going to take a guess here. You are young, probably in your teens, come from a fairly comfortably off, conservative family and have never wanted for anything in your life.

Boo hoo, that's what you get when you follow the same religion as those who murdered, pillaged, tortured and warred against other religions for over 1000 years.
How do you think non-Christians feel when we get lumped into the same category as "white men" or generic "westerners"?

Christians are persecuted. Everyone thinks it is OK to condemn Christianity. (whether United, Anglican or Catholic) It is not.
Not all Christians try to convert others. Not all shout at and condemn non-Christians.
There is not one group who can claim never to have sinned. (Jewish people, Muslim, etc...)
