David was about 1000 years before Christ, Abraham was 2,000 years BC Moses about 1500 BC and David 1000.

Jesus was actually born in 4bc and David ascended the throne in approx 1000bc - so you have a thousand years, give or take a few

Urm, I hate to point this out, but wasn't he only related to Kind David on his step-father's side? If he was born of God then he was only related through his mother's marriage.

the time gap varies from the gospel of luke to mathew. isn't it surprising that such chronological details are irrevocably different in a book supposed to be from god?
