I would have to agree.I have a pittbull/bullmastiff mix.Mostly pitt though. He is such a big baby but he also knows when to be protective. He's great around kids and other animals. He's incredible in everyway, shape and form..He has never showed any aggression towards me,kids or other animals including male dogs.
Pitts are an amazing dog if raised right.I definitly would'nt hesitate to get another pitt.

I believe that pit bulls should not even be considered a dog, or pet, but rather a wild animal! The thing about a pit bull is that it's not just it's instinctive ways to protect it's owner, but the true and scary fact is that they have a taste for blood and if they are hungry they may attack. That is the instinct of an animal, not a pet dog. It's funny you ask this question...there is this house on my street that I always walk past and they have a pit bull and so I'm always careful not to walk past if the gate is open. I was walking with my bro a week ago and the gate was open and so I told him I didn't wanna walk passed and he laughed at me. Just a few days later my friend's father walked past the same house, the pit bull ran out the house and jumped for him, biting his hands (which he had made into fists because he saw it coming) and then after being kicked by my friend's father, it ran back inside. He had done nothing provoking and all he did was walk passed the house! They are vicious animals and I would never keep one in my house! I'd rather buy myself a cheetah which is called a wild animal yet has no taste for the human being!

I have a pittbull/bull mastiff mix best dog I have ever owned. Very loyal very smart, and very sweet to those she knows, had never been vicious towards anyone she just sounds mean... Now I really don't know what she would do if someone was to come around my house and me not be home she us very protective of her home and her human family, altho now she is pregnant and that has changed her attitude a l bit toward strangers..

I think they are a good dog. It's all in how someone raises them. I worked at a pet store for 7 years, where customers were allowed to bring their pets in. This gave me a lot of exposure to many different breeds and different kinds of pets too. In those 7 years, never once was I scared by a pitbull. HOWEVER, I was attacked twice by black labs ... supposedly one of the best breeds? Again, it's all in how you raise them.

Yes and they are no different than other breeds. They all have their unique personality and like people, the way they're raised and the environment they come from dictates their disposition.
