You need to open the photos and save as a copy, then resize, then save as a jaypeg. You'll reduce the filesize by an amazing amount. Use the new, smaller versions.
There are several programs that let you do this; including Paint.
Click Image - Stretch/skew - then enter 50% in each of the top 2 boxes boxes to halve the width and height of the picture.

There are many softwares available but the best is windows on picture and fax viewer where you get the option to reduce the size of any picture. OR you can use Picasa (Free available from Google)

if you save the photos as jpegs you can use a higher compression on the photo and thus reduce the size of the overall doc

you are approaching this problem from the wrong end.. why dont you copy those photos, resize them and then embed them back. That will get you what you want. As for your question, I dont really know of anything that can do that!

you choose to do not something yet shop the record with .pdf extension thats all. like say you choose to transform a international record call into PDF record. what you choose to do is first open the record and decide record-saveAs. then you definately only exchange the record extension as .pdf. thats all
