There is no scriptural basis for this belief; only conjecture, twisting of scriptures and unfounded "leaps of faith".
I am not contesting the validity of the rapture; even though that word is not in the Bible, it is very clear that that is a valid thing.
The second coming of the Lord Jesus and the rapture are simultaneous events, the time of the harvest!
The actual timing of the event should be called the "Pre-Wrath Rapture" because it happens at the 7th trumpet of Revelation just prior to the vials of God's wrath being poured out on the earth.
Matthew 24:29, 30, & 31 lays it out so that even the simple-minded can understand: 29: Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31: And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Do you know why you will never find the truth in the Bible (even though the Bible is truth)? Because you're so into making sure that you find that God/the Bible are contradicting themselves. What you have just explained, written in Mathew is the events that are going to take place before the end comes, it does not talk about the rapture. Read the Book of Revelation, this time don't try and prove a point and you will find it there. Oh and the word rapture not appearing in the text (words change with time as the years go by so it's best when you read the Bible you have a dictionary cause the words depending on the type of Bible Version you have it might have used a different word).

have you learnt why you'll surely now to not locate the reality interior the Bible (even with the actuality that the Bible is fact)? because you're so into making particular that you basically in looking that God/the Bible are contradicting themselves. What you've basically defined, written in Mathew is the moves that are going to ensue in the previous the top comes, it does no longer communicate suitable to the rapture. examine the handbook of Revelation, this time do no longer attempt to tutor a aspect and also you'll in looking it there. Oh and the be conscious rapture now no longer appearing interior the textual content (words commerce with time because the years flow through technique of so that's wonderful once you study the Bible you've were given a dictionary reason the words depending on the shape of Bible version you've gotten it ought to have used yet another word).

Wasnt the stuff about the Rapture/Tribulation etc written seperately to the Bible by a man who had been banished to live alone in caves? I'm sure I saw something on TV about this. They now think they know which caves it was and the main source of food that grows in that area, unfortunately, is magic mushrooms (Not kidding, but he wouldnt have known what they were).
Makes you wonder! (or it does me anyway), I think they also covered the meaning of 666 in this program saying how if you apply that Hebrew numeric-alphabet thingy to it it actually means Nero who was the biggest threat at the time!
It was something like that anyway. It was a really interesting documentary! I'm sure many of you will disagree but it really interested me, very thought provoking!

Jesus said as in the days of Noah, so it will be in the last days.
God spared righteous Noah and his family before he destroyed the earth with water.
God also spared Lot and his family before he destroyed Sodom and Gommorah.
Much evidence on the rapture. BTW the bible never mentions the word "bible" either.

I understand what you are tryint to say but you are off a little. matt. that you quoted is the return of Christ but to set up His Kingdom. 1Thes 4 shows us the pretrib calling up.
But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who *sleep in Jesus.
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.
16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
There are to many passages to go into but the catching up into the air is for the bride of Christ not for every Christian.
The parable of the 10 virgins lets us know this not all Chritians will be ready when Christ returns.
That is the prize Paul was talking about the High calling of Christ. to be found worthy and not disqualified he wasn't talking about your salvation.
It is to be part of the firstfruits calling to be the bride of Christ. the others will be left behind not for punishment but to be refined.
To be presentable to Christ. When John sees those in Heaven in Rev 7:9 and 15:2 they are the ones of the Harvest "who washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb." they where "made" white by refining, they where not given to them white.
there is so much more to go into but I pray this helped a little.
please e-mail me so we can really get into it a little more. There is so much we carry by tradition and not from Gods actual word.

The Bible says that we will know by the times we live in. But also says that No man knows when he will return. So I think that we should all be ready no matter when post, pre or when ever. Maybe you should just make sure you are ready.....

I have studied end times but all I can say is don't get too caught up in it, "The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love".
And you are right we will be raptured - what a wonderful thing!

Are you for or against Christianity? Hard to tell if you are making fun of Christians, or just trying to educate them.
