Not bad, but not great.
The newer 1.9 common-rail engine is much better than the old 2.2.
The ride/handling isn't quite up with the best in the class.
But the door trims on the saloon are beautiful - pity they didn't use a similar design on the convertible.

Yes it is a good car. Its not the best at handling but if you just want to cruise up the motorway then it is a great car. The 2.2 diesel is quite fast aswell.

If you're looking for a quick reliable diesel..you're onto a winner. 'Looks-wise' a lot of car buffs rate it the best in the class. I used to have the 2 litre petrol and loved it.. not as pricey as mercs,audis and bmw for servicing but do tend to depreciate a fraction more

Smart design, but not a great chassis for speed in my opinion.
