Here are the main points for a referendum.

The British people were never asked if they want mass immigration into Britain, they should be consulted.

The people of Britain have never had a chance to vote if they wanted mass immigration or not.

The people of Britain have never had a chance to vote for more ethnic and cultural diversity.

The people of Britain have never had a chance to vote if they wanted asylum-seekers to put extra pressure on health, schools, housing .

Calling me names like 'Nazi' simply shows your lack of suitable counter arguments

I'm with you all the way and I'm not even British!!

The only reason why you remain a doormat is because so many of your countrymen are infected with that religion of Political Correctness, you can't get a word in because they are too busy screaming "RACIST, RACIST!" having a temper tantrum.
The true British nationals who love their country need to get a backbone and call a spade a spade and shame PC fools into realising they are traitors and treasonous.

I see some people have a problem with what the person posing the question is saying. Im sure you're pro immigration opinions will be well recieved by the families of the people who died on 7/7 in london.

What would the purpose of a referendum be? A referendum is a question put to voters on the ballot (e.g. S. Dakota's proposal to ban abortion, or the many about stem cell research this past election day). I think that we already know that most Americans do not approve of illegal immigration, and I don't think having you sitting at the border deciding who comes in and who doesn't is a very feasible idea either. It is a complicated issue, the likes of which cannot be solved by a referendum.

Count me in.......We should pull up the draw bridge, then clean up the country.
How come the BNP are dragged to court every time they open their mouth and old HOOK was spouting his evil so called sermons for months before they locked him up. The Americans want him for serious crimes so they should have him. Wonder if they will pamper him the way our prison does. ?I I would also like to have the hand back that the taxpayer paid for before he leaves, the money would help one of our soldiers.
As for the rest, if these people are persecuted and fear for their lives how come they travel so far across many other SAFE country's to arrive at our shore's???

I'm with you 100% on this one....however this government would never have one because they know what the vote would be,they need all these immigrants in to vote for them at the next election! Cash for peerages, immigration for votes......whats next????

I agree! So, when are we going to start arresting and prosecuting all the American employers and business owners who are destabilizing this nation by criminally hiring foreign nationals? All those businesses need to be shut down now.

So what do you want the referendum on exactly? You need to have a point, and the government needs to have a policy (which they don't) before you can put anything to a vote.

Added following your second post: define "The British people" please?

How nice. Tell you what, we'll give you a Nazi flag and stick you in a box at the end of the country and you can shout at those people you don't like who are coming in. You're entitled to decide who you'd like to come in, but you are not entitled to keep them out.
****.
