if a baby doesnt come out of the womb crying they use some form of pain stimulus response to get the child to cry. The crying is good for the baby since the child is breathing air for the first time ever. Up until that moment that child has been living in a liquid environment for 9 months.

i does not do this, and would't say I truthfully have... If i'm getting annoyed or am having a bad day and the toddler is fussing badly, I positioned her in the crib, have some song play, and go away the room for a jiffy. this is to regroup, assemble myself and quiet down and think of approximately my techniques. specially circumstances her cries are so, Soooooo extreme pitched and he or she's being greater perplexing. it could be trouble-free to in basic terms smack her for somebody else, yet i won't be able to locate it in my coronary heart to do this. So no, i won't be able to say I truthfully have carried out this or that i will do this. i don't see how that woman theory smacking could help. I advise, if the toddler is crying from rigidity, why agitate him/her greater? is mindless to me...

To get the lungs working. Also to reassure them that it is true ... we enter this world wet, naked and hungry ... then it gets worse.

i really don`t think they do that anymore-but it`s to make them cry-so they can learn to breathe-which is one wonderful sound-their crying-it tells you their lungs are developed & working.
