YES!!!!! Only fully informed children are protected from abuse/pregnancy/disease/etc. The age of consent is a society thing - lack of knowledge does NOT prevent abuse, disease or pregnancy.

Definitely. Ignorance is not bliss in this case. How can we expect a child to deal with such a confusing and over advertised subject as this if they only have information gleaned from other kids in the playground?

Why, do you prefer to show them in person?
Kids need to know how to avoid STDs and pregnancy.
Most parents won't teach them that, so the schools have to.
