- The Prophet Mohammed cartoons caused outrage in the Muslim world. The cartoons basically said Muslim’s are violent, suicide bombers.

What do the Muslims go out and do? Protest the cartoons by being VIOLENT.

- The cartoons caused much outrage in the Muslim world.

But it’s ok for Iran, Syria, etc to satire other religions, without repercussions, isn’t it?

- Muslims say that that Freedom of Speech/Expression is not allowed when it comes to people criticising/satiring their religion.

But its OK for them to demand innocent Westerners be killed for nothing, that all other religions are WRONG, and that if you aren’t a Muslim, you are an infidel.

- The Pope merely QUOTED an historic statement said by another religious leader. The statement basically said that the Islam religion is a violent one.

How do Muslims voice their disagreement to the Pope merely PARAPHRASING someone else (he did not intend to be malicious), by being VIOLENT!!!

- While I find rape to be one of the worst crimes, Muslims make a great deal of US troops raping Iraqi women which, assuming they HAVE actually done such a thing, is justified.

BUT fanatical Muslims believe that, according to the Koran, if a woman is not dressed as a ninja, then she can be raped without repercussions. So basically, if you are a Western woman, you are free to be raped without any implications.

And they want to be taken seriously?

I could go on and on, but the above does enough to justify my point.

Comments and suggestions?

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t dislike Muslims, plus I have friends who are Muslims.

But again, the “vitriolic hate” I have “shown” is surely being mirrored in the answers I have received. So thanks for agreeing with me!

LOL - Envy Muslims? Despite the fact that without oil you'd still be living in caves and riding around on donkeys??

Your hate towards the West has everythign to do with jealousy.

I mean, look a Dubai - everyone riding around in Ferrari's, spending a fortune on Prada and McQueen. We are jealous of what WE have given you!!!

Dont make me laugh. If it wasnt for the oil, you'd be nothing. You love the West for everything we have given you and all you lot are doing is sh*tting your pants cos you know there will be nothing left for you once the oil runs out.

I agree that the muslims in the east are not that great. They are hypocritical and they are cowards. They hide behind the Quran. We are told to take the good from the west not the negative. What bothers me is your hate and your lack of knowledge about what the arab world has given you. You need to study ancient Islamic history. cars are not everything little man. You need math and who were the major math scholars who complied algebra and trig? oh oh i know arabs and muslim scholars from egypt etc. the word algebra itself comes from al jabr. so i don't know why you're acting superior and acting like all muslims ever did was sit in caves islam contributed to every single subject. they advanced this world when the rest of it was in the dark. a non muslim spanish man writes in the ancient times: "My fellow Christians delight in the poems and romances of the Arabs. They study the works of Muhammadan theologians and philosophers, not in order to refute them, but to acquire a correct and elegant Arabic style. Where today can a layman be found who reads the Latin commentaries on Holy Scriptures? Who is there that studies the Gospels, the Prophets, the Apostles? Alas, the young Christians who are most conspicuous for their talents have no knowledge of any literature or language save the Arabic; they read and study with avidity Arabian books; they amass whole libraries of them at a vast cost, and they everywhere sing the praises of the Arabian world...”Dozy, Reinhart P. theres a link if you wanna see the other inlfluences on the world. but im sure you dont because youre all set on the 'i hate everybody except me' business.
ok then later
oh and also i had the same reaction as you when some muslims got angry and said we aren't violent while they burned churches. they are misguided and lost. just pray for em.
as for the pope, i have nothing against him but I do wish he wouldn't say false statements. He could have said that some muslims are violent which is true but he said Islam is. when i heard this i didn't get angry, I just wondered why he would say something like that in this already volatile world. I no longer get too affected by comments like this. I have to get used to it, i live in america.
peace

It took me a while to figure out your stance, but I assume that you wrote one argument in the first paragraph and an opposing in the 2nd. Well, For the first paragraph: That's not necessarily true, nothing about the personalities of an entire race/ethnicity/religion/etc, is true. I could say that Stalin was an Atheist, but also that Napoleon and Hitler were Christians, and that Osama bin Laden was a Muslim (an extremist to be exact). However, my personal experience among my family and other Atheist families I'm acquainted with would prove that what is stated is true, at least where I live, which is LA. For the second paragraph: Y!A is where trolls like myself roam and feed on the innocent. Though there's trolls for each religion - predominantly atheists and christians - on here, so the argument is kinda flawed.

I'm sorry for you. Really. Superficially what you mentioned might makes sense that Muslims are contradictory. However, you have to be reminded that every religion, organization or any group of people have their streak of extremism among their followers and Islam is not excluded. What you have been mentioning represents only a small fraction of the Islamic world. What you should really do is look into the very source of Islam. Not just watch some news on the televsion and jump to the conclusion that all Muslims are the same. Islam is a religion based on peace and when you study into the its depths you will find that it is a not merely a religion but a comprehensive way of life - assuming that you look into the right sources. I pray that God will guide in doing so. I also hope that you will not be blinded by prejudice, give Islam and Muslims a chance to prove themselves through their sources.

Why Muslims, do you not take into consideration how many other nations religious beliefs condemned many so why go on about one religious sect.

You say its OK for them to demand innocent Westerners be killed, again this contradicts.
Maybe the answer to all world religions is to give back what is theirs for holy wars does not solve any solutions it just adds more fuel to the fire.

Please forget the Holy Pope's statement. That has been clarified and withdrawn. He had quoted a Soldier-king whose words were not corroborated in any religious text, and the other versions of the same 'historical event' are contradicting the King. About freedom: it does not include 'freedom to ridicule' and without any provocation to Cartoonist. Swallowing an insult is not an act of chivalry. And there are Laws in Europe against disparaging the Sacred of a Religion.

Well, generalization of things is not right ...
I would not consider all Muslims contradictory , I would consider it more to be a MISUNDERSTANDING, we are different people with different minds , we think we can say what we want as we want because this is what democracy is all about, they believe that they have sacred figures that cannot be criticized for any reason... that is the point...
Do not know what Syria has got to do with the subject ...but ... generally I think the world must learn to think more neutrally ...

Your points all show you have accepted the truth as handed to you by the media.

Please check your sources, find some things out for yourself, stop believing everything you read in the Sun and take the time to form your own opinions rather than accept those handed to you. The media concentrate of the radical fringe and the few who act violently as it makes a good story and the paper buying sheep lap it up.

Through all the years of I.R.A. terrorism, did you think all catholics were terrorists? Please read between the lines, it's the only way we'll stop this vicious circle of hate.

By the way, I'm not a muslim.

Did the nurse drop you when you were born? Or did you come out legs first? Seriously.

You're talking about MUSLIMS being violent?? Who attacked Iraq, Afganistan, Vietnam, Lebanon, Somalia, Panama, Nicaragua, Palestine...?

Who supported the dictatorships of Chile, Honduras, Iran, Iraq, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Philippines...?

Who supported the attack by South Africa on Angola?

Who killed 800,000 Tutsis in Rwanda?

Who killed 6,000,000 Jews in Europe?

Who killed 5000 Muslims in Gujarat, India?

Who killed 8000 Muslims in Sebrenica, Bosnia?

What was the terrorism in Ireland about?

So don't complain that you are being for 'nothing'. Killing, invading, subverting and looting are fair game for retaliation.

Besides showing yourself as a fool, this is an old topic that we've already beaten to death so go to bed. Its late.

You have asked a question involving Muslims...don't be surprised if the do gooders report you....i have noticed that most questions asked concerning the Muslim faith tend to get reported and sometimes deleted from YA. I find that you can disrespect any other faith, saying whatever you want about them, but the instance you mention the Muslims then all hell breaks loose and the do gooders start screaming from the roof tops.... why is this allowed.
