Over the last few days three of our cats have developed very sore noses - took the first victim to the vet who thought that he had run into a wall - but over the weekend two others have developed the same - has anyone else had this problem - they are still eating by the way- we live on the Kent coast, has anyone else in this part of the country heard about a problem such as this?

Well, this is a mystery. I've been a cat owner for years, and I've never had this happen. You didn't say if the cats had any swelling or evidence of an injury on their noses. Could they have been bitten by spiders, ants, etc?

Have you used a new cleaning product on your carpets, furniture, etc. that they could have sniffed and had a reaction? I can see this happening to one cat, maybe, but it's unlikely that it would occur with the others...

If you solve the mystery, I hope you'll post again to let us know.
And best of luck with the kitties - hope those sore noses are back to normal soon.

It does not sound unusual in any respect. you could enhance an hypersensitivity litteraly in one day. although, the possiblity that it is the cats is very distant. it is extra possible which you have an hypersensitivity to mildew or pollen that grew to grow to be absorbed on your outfits or interior the fixtures. you could via Clariton over-the-counter or you could attempt Benadryl at night. hypersensitivity sorting out is the ultimate thank you to make certain what precisely it is which you're allergic to, yet on account which you're no longer having anaphylaxis (a existence threatening severe form of an allergic reaction which makes your throat % up) then i could attempt the low-fee measures first on account that it extremely is possibly what the well being practitioner could propose besides. i wish this enables.
