Im a 12 year old boy me and my girlfried have been together since i was 4 and when i was 7 she told me she loved me and lately shes been talking about like how old we should be to have sex. She has a point we dont know and she says if we find out can we do it when were that age/ also she promises no matter what untill we are at least 27 we wont stop using condoms because we want to be safe. I was wondering how old we should be. She had her first period when she was 8 so she knows alot about it and her mom talked to her about sex when she got her first period. So can you please tell me how old we should be? thank you very much!

Well, the law says you should either both be 16, or 18. But, techinically, you can have sex whenever you feel like it with whomever you feel like...
My advice? Wait till you're at least 16 each before you do that. Having sex when you're 12? That's just... wrong. And you'll be throwing away a lot. Bad decision...
But, if you want to, then go ahead. Just make sure you don't get caught!

What would your parents say? Or her parents? Most parents feel their children are too young even in their late teens because it requires emotional maturity too but we'll accept it if the kids are using condoms etc..and are prepared to accept possible pregnancy (it happens). Would your parents accept it if you came to them now? That's probably your answer.
BTW it sounds like your life has been mapped out by this girl since you were 4. Do you have any plans or dreams yourself? Becoming a teenage father is not easy.

Right now you are way too young. Having sex comes with a lot of responsibility and at 12 you are not ready for that. I would wait a few more years.

its good u decided ull allways use condoms, tht is gr8. u talk more oldish than u are and its good, but still refrain from sex for at least 3 to 4 years , thanx

physical maturity alone is not the qualifying mark for havin sex,
you gotta have mental maturity as well....
.....Take some time, feel the passion of love for atleast some more years and then you can go for it
